Why is it that after almost 30 yrs. some people still won't buckle up? I don't get it... If you don't wear one...WHY don't you????
LowKeyToo said:enforcing the seat belt law is a waste of time if you think about it. instead it should just invalidate your access to healthcare.
"hey bill. this guy wasn't wearing his seatbelt."
"dumbass. well leave him here to rot then....."
not really. those are all physical addictions that are chemical imbalances and medically treatable. not using your seatbelt is a conscious choice you make every time you get into the car. if you don't see the difference then you've got bigger problems than your skull eventually flying through your windshield at high speed.Papi Chulo said:the same could be said about smokers, drug addicts or alcoholics
I dumped a motorbike at about 45mph in dense forest. HOw does that compare?t8rs said:Ever fall off a bike at 20 mph?
I'm talking bicycle on pavement. If you wear a helmet in your car and don't go much faster than 20 then sure, don't bother using a seat belt.Papi Chulo said:I dumped a motorbike at about 45mph in dense forest. HOw does that compare?

I hope your illusion of safety will cover the mistakes of other drivers.
WhaWhaWha said:It's a bullshit law. How many millions of people ride the TTC every day unrestrained -- taking the same or more risks? If it's legal and acceptable for them, then why not allow private drivers and passengers the right to choose?
Yes, and a motorcycle at 65mph.t8rs said:I think that anyone who doesn't wear a seat belt is simply unaware of how stupid they are. They should have their heads driven into a steering wheel/dashboard/windshield at 20 mph. Doesn't sound very fast? Ever fall off a bike at 20 mph?
Because the "government" picks up the tab for your health care.4uimcrazy said:Why should the government legislate this? We don’t need the government to be paternal.
