So older schools are falling apart, crowded class rooms, bitching about hot class rooms in the summer so let's spend millions on lawyer fees for a frivolous lawsuit looking for sympathy money instead of spending it on something more important.
When they cry poor I hope Doug tells them to F OFF.

I guess no one read the story in the link.

" Neinstein LLP, a Toronto-based firm, is representing the school boards. The boards will not be responsible for any costs related to the suit unless a successful outcome is reached, the release says."

Sounds to me that if they lose, it doesn't cost the boards any money, and if they win, maybe it will result in some positive change! (and the lawyers will then get probably a large piece of the result)

Seems like your question is answered in the quote, the law firm is representing the school boards, period! As to your opinion regarding a failing educational system ..... I don't disagree with you. (is that an example of a double negative LOL). Yes, the school system may be failing but it is not completely their fault. Today's parents need to shoulder some of the failing as well. Kids today act much differently than when I was at school. I was taught to respect teachers as well as authorities. Kids today are different. Last year when out for a walk, a kid (about 7-8 years old) riding a bike on the side walk took a tumble with the bike landing on top of him. I ran over to see if he was OK. I lifted the bike and asked him if he was ok ..... he just looked at me and said 'fuck you'. So I dropped the bike back on him and walked off. Clearly times have changed and teachers are dealing daily with this type of attitude ..... just my opinion.

PS. Luv your sig pic :)
