Pink Flamingoes with Divine. Now that was scary.

Seriously, though. I voted for The Exorcist. I saw it the first weekend it came out, that was before I even knew what it was about. I had no idea going in that it was a horror so I was in no way prepared for the assault on my senses. Luckily, it was still daylight when we went out.

It's more of a suspense than horror, but there's a scene near the end of "Wait Until Dark" that makes everyone jump.

Of the ones listed, I selected The Exorcist, but also think that The Omen is up there too, along with Rosemary's Baby. In my mind though, 'scariest' does not mean the same thing as best thriller.

Children Of The Corn (the original) scared the crap out of me

The first time you see that child leader made my blood freeze. The only other thing that got me that bad were the twins in The Shining.

Too bad the more you see him the less effective he becomes.

se7en......................very disturbing film! it made realize how isolation in mass societies can give rise to intellegent individuals who have 'god complexes' and very creative yet violent behavior!

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is a really scary movie, mostly because he goes out and kills people just to have something to do. No motive, no remorse.

I can remember movies like The Exorcist, Carrie and The Omen scaring the crap out of me when they were first released. When I've seen them again lately, they don't have the same effect. I think it's mostly because I've been desensitized. Having said that, I have to commend the original of The Ring (Ringu in Japanese) for scaring the crap out me once again. The visuals are just super creepy.

Leave it to Beaver Reunion show.

The Beaver got really scary looking in his old age. Gave me nightmares for weeks.

Crap, I think it's gonna start again!
