I always preferred Gary Jules' cover of Tears for Fears' 'Mad World' to the original.

One of the few cases where I prefer the white cover version...
Ok, so we’re talking white covers that we like?

I really enjoy Nina Simone’s Feeling Good:

But I think Shara Worden does a stand up job, given her vocal range:

Also, Commodores’ Easy is a classic (and a song that I can only hope to relate to):

But I’ve always been a huge fan of Faith No More and their cover, which doesn’t stray far from the original (and was a great juxtaposition to a lot of their other songs):

You guys are gonna hate me for this, too, but…

I’m sure you know Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd?

Well, I actually prefer Deftones’ cover:

And that’s not all!

Deftones had a big hit with My Own Summer in the 90s:

As much as high-school me was a fan, I actually prefer the Musora cover by indie pop band Winnetka Bowling League (it’s the first time I fully understood the lyrics, and they make it their own):

So, two covers that I actually prefer to the original…

I doubt any of us are that invested in our musical taste that we would judge somebody whose taste differs...
Absolutely not! In fact, I love seeing what other people listen to. At worst, it’s not for me. At best, I learn something new and maybe find a new fav. Literally no down side. Share!
