Amazing how this thread got hijacked. Went from how sad the state of things are in Ottawa to a poll about closing the review boards to either members only or worse contributors only.
If you want to hurt the SP industry in Ottawa, then you're doing it right, think it's sad now. Just make sure you keep all your little secrets to yourselves, the less people see good reviews the less business the SP's get, that in turn means they'll say 'well fuck you Ottawa' cuz as they say 'boring'. Just don't get it, you all complain about the lack of quality SP's that visit and here you are trying to basically give less exposure to the amazing ladies that do come.

Because you are right ...... ^^^^^^^^^^^^ ............. As a frequent visitor to YOW, there are a few of you in this forum who have been very helpful but there is a definitely an old homey crowd here that shuts out any interlopers or free thinkers without question. Sort of like a Trump no one but me ban. Making the YOW section like the TO section and MERB PERB like, open to members only, may take away the caste system that seems to exist with the responders to anything in Ottawa sections. There was an Indy collective get together the other evening with all of Ottawas finest represented and not one word on this (is this really a ) self described SP review area. Take pride in your town YOW terbites!
i do find it very hard to find someone that picks my curiosity on BP where i don't feel like its a crapshoot.
I usually go with well reviewed SPs here (MAs can also be fun even if the restrictions are there)
My last experience from BP wasn't good so even though i look on BP often i almost never go for that option unless there is a review here
There are some reliable options but most seem to be from out of town (Mirage from Toronto and BLE from Montreal)
if you can afford 300.00/hour there is high end well reviewed options as well
so yes i wish the scene for SPs was better here....MA scene is great and has too many great options

I don’t agree with the logic either. If someone is being out of bounds, report them to the Mods or ignore. When I read reviews and see mid-slinging, I ignore it. Well-worded reviews (no porn stories needed), pluses and minuses, overall impressions: all are valuable to tell if someone is likely to click and enjoy our meeting.
I don’t understand why making reviews section as ‘members only’ is bad, especially as everyone who writes on these posts are members! It does mean you have to login to read reviews, which might be an extra hassle.

Charlotte, I am not sure why booking half an hour sessions would be considered *taboo* or *bad practice* here. Some guys can only squeeze in that time, during lunch break or what have you, while others may (or may not) *finish* (pun intended!) early when they see SPs so 30 minutes session should not be frowned upon, IMO.The SPs have a similar opinion of Ottawa, I'm hearing this constantly in private and on twitter from reputable SPs. This is a cyclical problem. Tons of guys with no references, booking anonymously with text apps, doing fake bookings, no shows, last minute cancellations, wanting half hour appts only. A lot of good SPs don't want to come anymore, and those that do have higher rates and tougher screening to weed out the nonsense.
I understand SPs need time to get ready and they may not want to see too many clients booking half an hour sessions in any given day but the reality is if SPs charge accordingly for half an hour session, to me it's fair game.
Another angle is half an hour session is also a good way (for both clients and SPs) to get a good read of each other and see if a repeat visit is in the card.

Charlotte... With respect to the 1/2 hour thing, take a second and look at it from the guy's perspective. An appointment usually means 15 minutes travel to arrive, then 5 minutes to get settled in, the 30 minute session, then back to the car for a 15 minute drive back to work/home... So for us, a 30 minute appt is actually over and hour of time and for many of us, we are trying to squeeze this in during a busy day of work.
That's the fine line most touring SPs have to decide to cross or not. Most of the higher end touring SPs (and even local) onky want to provide a minimum of an hour. However if they want to be more successful here in Ottawa than they would need to provide HH. Thus could be the main reason why touring SPs stay away from Ottawa
On the cheaper end is usually $120-140. Some of the more popular ones will charge $150-160 and even up to $180. The majority look for the $120-140 range. I think GFE would apply for that but some will charge extra for more PSE or Greek.
As for the money situation Ottawa doesn't have the money Toronto does. Houses are expensive but a lot of people are "House" poor. Or maybe people in a government town are cheap.
Half hour appointments are cool. Most guys can only sneak away for half an hour on their lunch break and I personally am flattered and appreciate this thing that tjey chose to spend their half hour with me. Im.not about the money so much as I am about repeat clientele. Maybe that's why I have a good client base and don't have to travel all over.��
Price is relative to the services offered within. For me, i rarely take the 30 min. because i like to take my time and i'm not the kind to just bang in and be out the door, i like to chat, drink a glass if appreciated. So for the hour, i'll accept anything between 200-240 which i think is fair and the services i look for is DFK, LFK, DATY, BBBJ, MPOS. MSOG if i have time and it's no issue with the lady, otherwise i'm content with the basics i listed. I may go a little higher in some circumstances if i really like the lady.

There are also plenty of SPs that would provide all the services i want. I find most SPs do not charge extra for BBBJ, Kissing, DATY. Those are the basics and a SP either provides them or they don't.
