I'm trying to rent one for the month of august to travel from here in Toronto to Halafax anyone know any sites or dealerships that can help me here just looking at going the one way and than flying back.

Thanks anyone else tried them and the don't handle one way and when I talked to them they were no help with telling me who else could help but thanks for that one.

Yeah, the one way thing will be a deal breaker for most. I can't see there being a big demand for east coasters to come here. For the cost of the fuel, you could probably save some money by driving a car and staying in motels. I know it isn't the same as pulling over in your home away from home but you have to factor in the 4 or 5 mpg. 1100 miles to halifax, that's 220 gallons @ about $4.00 per gallon $880.00 dollars.

Not like it is the same thing, but if you like the scenic route you could always take the Canadiana train from Toronto to Halifax. It has stops all along the way and you get to see quebec and the maritimes......supposed to be an awesome ride....
An RV is the best when travelling with small children. We used to take ours to Florida in an RV from when the youngest was a baby. It is so great, you have a fridge with their food, you have a washroom, you have their toys, you have everything you need, they can make noise, etc. Taking a pack of them that age in a car and motels is a nightmare, stopping all the time for food and washrooms, not liking the food, etc. We never considering the money it might have cost us more or less for the RV, it was so worthwhile for everyones happiness.
