Had I been alive in the 1910's I would have opposed Woodrow Wilson sending soldiers
to Europe to get killed. That would have saved Germany from the rise of Hitler and
the world from WWII. I also opposed LBJ escalating the war in Vietnam and George
Bush's preemptive strike against Iraq. The real Neville Chamberlain today are those
who refuse to ban import of oil and natural gas from Russia like Biden and Germany.

I don't think Putin truly believed there was a threat of invasion to Russia. He's just using that as another justification.
What he really wants is to restore Russia's sphere of influence to the glory days of the Soviet Union. He miscalculated, and unfortunately his miscalculation is going to cost many lives, and potentially a great many.
in fairness it does make a huge sense for GOP to side with Putin against the weak everywhere in the world, be it blacks in USA or Uks in Europe. GOP and Putin stand for the same values: power by any means necessary and desire to "get their country back".
GOP or at least some of its members are ready to take on Putin
if only Biden is willing to go along with them.

She is not wrong....also wholly beside the point and irrelevant at this junction. That's the danger of trying to politicize events, especially tragic events. This is being done across the board and it serves no purpose beside being distasteful.
I think the petro-dollars are playing a big role as the Crimea takeover was shortly after Ukraine signed major natural gas exploration deals in the Black Sea.
