haha ok so now you wann try a regime change against one of the top nuclear powers on the planet.. How the fuck do you know what Russians want? We are a democracy and more then 50% of Canadians disapprove of trudeau and external polls indicate Putin has more support then any western leader from Russians.
All top Russians officials have family and assets in U.S. and Western Europe. If U.S. will say it wants Putin out or it will frieze all assets of top Russian military, politicians, and oligarchs and got their family extradited - Putin will be out in a second. Russian government is more likely to launch a nuclear strike on Voronezh than on New York (a well-known Russian joke which is very close to the truth). And how do I know that Russians hate Putin? Because I have lots of family and friends back in Russia. Or do you believe in Russian elections results and polls too?

Thats Rubbish. The US cannot seize private funds without legal process. A lot of their funds are in trusts, companies and other entities that are very opaque.

When I started this thread on February 4, 2022, I had no advance knowledge that Russia would invade Ukraine. However, I knew if Russia did, it would be brutal based on what they did in WW II.

Russia has pretty much sanction proofed its economy and it can size Western assets as well. Essentially if the US follows though on its sanctions threat we are in for one DOOZY of a recession with massive inflation.
You cannot sanction proof 21st century economy especially one with an outdated and inadequate
industrial base like Russia. Putin protected few who have value- security apparatus, "law makers", his buddies- the rest will line up for bread around the block- like in the good old days of Lonia Brezhnev.

Well when you don't take the deal on the table the next one is often worse.
You said Putin wasn't trying to take all of Ukraine.
Why are you still defending a losing war of choice?
It makes you sound like Dick Cheney or Rumsfield.

Indeed, Russia itself is a sick country that produces nothing of value,
Did you take chemistry in high school and learn what the
periodic table is? If you recognize what monumental
discovery the periodic table is (made at a time when many
elements had yet to be discovered) to the advancement of
science then at least make one exception to your statement.

just tyranny, imperialism and propaganda.
Hatred of the west runs deep, and they've developed a pro Putin cult of war. Terb's Putin buttlicker is just one of many.

Bla bla bla, ya Mendeleev just passed away the other day
Do you get triggered when that shithole is criticized, or just trying to be too clever by half?

It is a contribution in the past but still a testimony to
the strength of Russian scientists in chemistry research
today. Catalytic mechanism in organometallic chemisty
and nano-material science are two areas I am aware of
where Russian chemists though far from being the
leaders today are making impressive contributions.
Besides science Russia will continue producing myriads
of commodities the west can only be salivating over when
the Ukraine war is over.
