I think it is almost impossible to win a debate with a guy like Brand on a talk show format like Bill Maher’s. He will interrupt, talk over you, and shift back and forth between cracking jokes, changing the topic, and “just asking questions”- he is entertaining in a way that is difficult to keep up with.

I’m not sure if he is a good debater but I think he is an excellent entertainer.
Definitely and he is charismatic unlike most twat righties.

I don't blame them- it's their grift. I blame the morons who fall for it.
I agree that they are morons but it's not entirely their fault.

Most of Liberal supporters are graduates of liberal arts studies.

They have been brainwashed by progressive teachers.

I tend to differ, I just believe lefties in general are more educated than righties.

I beg to differ.

Lefties, especially leftie men are more feminine than the men on the right.

They exhibit a lot of feminine traits, they are emotional, sensitive and choose liberal arts studies.

Righties study science or learn a trade.

They are men of action, we grab them by the pussy.

Leftie men on the other hand might have a pussy.

Russell Brand would be a difficult guy to debate because he is charming and charismatic and can unleash a firehouse of disinformation that is difficult to respond to.

IMHO…Russell Brand has evolved into the British equivalent of Joe Rogan. I have his content blocked on social media.
Blocking people is a leftist virtue signal that indicates he is saying something of importance that you have no response to.

Russell Brand's views used to be progressive in 2010. Today he is not? lol

Like he is trying to be balanced in his commentary on current events?

Those 2010 progressive views?
Thats what am saying.

2010:

Liberals were anti-war because they had enough of Bush and Cheney.
Liberals were untrusting of big corporations, big pharma, politicians, and mainstream media.

2023:

Liberals are gung-ho for war.
Liberals are completely trusting of big corporations, big pharma, politicians and mainstream media.

The Change:

Performative woke politics. Just push the right kind of outrage and everyone unites behind the hate. Its the same with right wing politics too.

Why does it bother you guys who I block or don’t block? Correct me if I’m wrong but it’s not like you spend much time listening to MSNBC either.

I don’t listen to just one station or news source; I like to believe that I’m reasonably objective in sifting through information but everyone else believes that about themselves too. Just like every one believes they have a good sense of humour and good taste in music when clearly all of us don’t.

Not sure if it's actually their fault?

They do not live a privileged life as some of us enjoy.

But I'm sure of one thing. When the grid goes down for a prolonged period of time, they will fare much better than we will.

OK, I'll bite.
Whats the point of blocking someone other than, even with an open mind as you claim to have, you don't have room in your mind for the perspective? It's better to show others you disagree with that person having any space in your world.

I don't really care if you block 1 or 1,000,000 people, I just think it can be called out for what it is and put your brand "Openness" into the spot light.

If every time I check in on Fox, Rogan, etc. they are saying something that is false or misleading I think there comes a point where you stop tuning in, no? Other than keeping up with the lies and rage being disseminated on the Right it doesn’t serve much purpose. If I want to better understand an issue I find it more constructive to look elsewhere.

All the more power to you.

I have no problem with saying "This isn't informative, I don't need to spend my time and mental energylistening". All good.

Blocking is a statement like I've given above, way past "I don't want to listen".

I think people are okay to block for their own mental health and self care. Sometimes its not good to constantly see views that make you angry or irritated regularly.
