If you like dark run, I agree with Gosling's and will add Pusser's.

I'm not typically a fan of Bacardi, but I like 1873 also:)

My ATF dark rum is Mount Gay Extra Old. It's incredibly smooth. Damn I could go for one right now but finished my last bottle!

I also like El Dorado; even their "regular grade" is very drinkable.

Thanks to JaguarTO for mentioning Barbados Plantation rum; I'll have to give that a try!

Potters Premium White Rum is awesome (distillery in BC/Alberta so not sure about Canada wide availability)

Is a dry rum with crisp flavor. More expensive but worth it.

Mount Gay generally cover all the bases, but Bacardi's Anejo brings back memories of crazy school days when needed.

Funny you should ask.

Just got home from Cuba last night. Brought back and just started working on some 7 year Santiago de Cuba. Smooth as silk. Goes well with my Cohiba.

$8.00 for a bottle.

25 year Fleur de Cana. After you have sipped it on the rocks, you'll use your Bacardi for fire starter. Think Patron.. only rum.

You can sometimes find it at Vintages outlets. Or head to Nicaragua.
The flight would probably be cheaper than the LCBO markup.

I forget what it's worth at the LCBO... It's not outrageous. Even in Central America it's about $30. You can buyer "younger" versions that are ok too. I wouldn't go younger than the 7 year though. 12 year is readily available here.
