Montreal is not romantic, and I have had some French people be so shitty to me while visiting that it ruined my vacation, but if you find assholes tolerable Quebec City is far better than Montreal.

I've almost always vacationed overseas or through the US. Although I've lived in a few Canadian cities for whatever reason I'm one of those who never previously viewed Canada as a vacation destination. Now I'll have to look into it, and there are a few good ideas here so far.

Romantic is very subjective. What is comes down to is spending time together and doing things that both can enjoy is what most women want. Spening quiet and enjoying scenery is very romantic too, sunrise....sunsets...
