Here's a recent find -- I thought I had heard literally everything Black Sabbath had done, but I only recently found this, their very first recording when the band was called Earth in 1969.
John Bonham was equally tormented playing the most complex song LZ ever wrote - figures JP Jones had a hand in it. Bonzo needed four sticks to record it. They only played the song once live.
Mixed views on this guy. Saw him once and I don't recall him playing any hits. Some of the hits I could do without I guess. Like The Jean Genie and Rebel Rebel.
Fripp on guitar here.
Unbelievable the innovator of rock drumming pulled a knife on his rhythm section band member Black Jack. Nothing like Cream had ever been heard before. Ginger Baker was a monster. Without Ginger Baker there would be no Neil Peart.
