These guys just played Casino Niagara recently. I was invited to see them but couldn't make it. This was there biggest hit, powerhouse 90's rock track.

I think Burton Cummings has one of the greatest voices in rock history. Many would agree with me, I reckon. A national treasure.

My favorite Burton Cummings solo song.
"Something in the air was oh so rare..."

I forgot how great this tune was. These guys had some hits in the late 70's and early 80's

Many of the live videos I posted in this thread through 4shared(dot)com are now on my page at archive(dot)org, where they can be viewed online, or downloaded.

Most of my uploads have been Xvid .avi format, (Cinepack). These will be better quality for downloading. The Cinepack version can only be downloaded.

The H.264, (.mp4), version was created by the site. It can be viewed online, (with full screen viewing option, like on YouTube), or downloaded. The audio and video quality will be a bit worse than what I uploaded.

Left-click the Cinepack or H.264 link on any of the pages to view online. Right-click to download.

I'll be adding new material frequently.

Growing up in Winnipeg I used to see Burt and his first band, The Deverons, at Bruce Druxerman's (later the founder of "Druxies" in Toronto) Holiday Sun & Swim Club every summer weekend afternoon poolside. It was obvious that even as a teenager Burt had enormous talent. Then after he joined the Guess Who, I used to see him often performing at various community centre concerts, and an invitation-only concert that was held for Prince Charles at the International Hotel near the Winnipeg Airport when "American Woman" was big.

I shot snooker with Burt a few times at Sportsman's Billiards on North Main Street when we were in our early 20's. One of the few things I was better at than Burt lol...

My best story about Burt is when we both went to a vocalists concert, I forget at which venue, in Winnipeg. Burt was in the audience sitting next to me. A contemporary, Herschel Fox, with a more classically trained voice, performed, and Burt said to me "I wish I could sing like that!". Herschel later became a renowned Cantor in a Los Angeles synagogue...

Also back in the day in Winnipeg I was in Grade 11 at Kelvin High School, and so was Neil Young. But we were in different home rooms and were not friends. I did see him many times with his original band "The Squires" at various high school concerts, and often as a solo acoustic guitar and folk song performer at the 4th Dimension coffee house on Pembina Highway near the U of Manitoba. Again an amazing and unique talent even back then. After one of his 4D concerts I went backstage to see him with a mutual friend, but there was no direct communication between Neil and me.

I cannot believe I've never even been to Manitoba in my 50 years of life. And its right next to Ontario. WTF.

Burton Cummings isn't the only National Treasure. Saw BTS twice, David Clayton Thomas hasn't been Prime Stud in a long time but his voice is still remarkable.

Born in England raised in Willowdale.
