My pops favorite singer is Buddy Holly. I got a few of his 45's. C'mon Lets Go probably my favorite.
Everyone remembers I Love Rock N Roll put another dime in the jukebox baby. But Joan Jett rocked it out on other tracks like this one
Too many people equate the band Chicago with soft rock/easy listening office music. But in their earlier days they rocked the joint. Here they are as Chicago Transit Authority circa 1969.
As fate was would have it, another singer was supposed to be on that flight but missed it. Waylon Jennings.
He had many hits, Peggy sue, rave on, it doesn't hurt anymore. He was also the lead singer of the the Crickets whose bit hit was That'll be the day. I still have most of his music on tape and cds.
C'mon Let's Go was Ritchie Valens, not Buddy Holly. Died in the same plane crash though so they are forever linked.
LOL. X That means we both grew up during the best years of Rock and Roll.
The Day The Music Died. Title of album sung by Don McLean featuring the hit song. Bye Bye American Pie, which referred to the plane crash killing Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper and my idol as a young teenager Buddy Holly.
And I am so grateful for that!!! It sucks a bit to be old, but we got to experience it all, from the roots of rock and soul, all the way to today. A truly satisfying and incredible journey...

Brain fart. Oh Boy! No that's not it. Maybe Baby my favorite Buddy Holly song.
C'mon Lets Go is my fav Ritchie Valens song.
