"Gone Dead Train" from the great movie "Performance"

Vocals by Randy Newman. I believe the slide guitar was by Ry Cooder, the guy who taught Keith Richards the open tuning Keef used on so many songs such as Brown Sugar, Start Me Up, Honky Tonk Women", etc.

Ry Cooder is still one of the top guitarists, played jazz, pop rock, mexican, folk with the Chieftains, but he was not the best singer by far.

Here's Bob Dylan, with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band backing him. Mike Bloomfield on lead guitar, plus Al Kooper on keyboards, doing "Like A Rolling Stone", with some of the crowd booing cuz he'd gone electric. Newport Folk Festival 1965...

Maddie Rice (SNL house band guitarist) covering Eric Johnson's Cliffs of Dover. Great fingering.

The Rolling Stones appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show six times...this was the first.

I remember when the Stones performed "Let's Spend The Night Together" on Sullivan, and were forced by Ed or CBS to change the lyric to "Let's spend some time together". Different times indeed...

Yes, I knew that...Jim Morrison was suppose to change a lyric also but double-crossed Ed Sullivan.
