The planning works because the marches start early, end early and then prevent the Black Bloc types from mixing in.
The weather yesterday was also a factor. Super hot then the rain no doubt scattered the crowd.
Finally we don't have the same local anger. The leak about the balcony jumper has tempered any anger with our police.
Today may be different. Let's see what the speech makers say.
Agreed, but some peaceful ones get caught up in the moment at start doing bad things as well.

At the Nathan Phillips square rally today a man in "Black Face" infiltrated the protest crowd and was arrested by police.

She was not intentionally shot in the eye. The protesters who acted badly are more to blame.
Thats her mistake. She shouldve worn protective gear for the head and eyes.
She should know better since she's a reporter.
I remember when the Ferguson riots happened a few years ago a protestor got shot right in the nutsack by a rubber bullet.

Why would she wear an eye shield? As a clear member of a news team, they're not supposed to be shooting her in the face w rubber bullets, are they?
Let's go through the reasons why not.....
1. She's the member of a fucking news team.
2. She's not a fucking security threat.
3. She's not part of a legitimate police tac op.
4. Freedom of the press.
5. They're not supposed to be aiming at her face.
6. Proportionate and reasonable force.
This whole fucking mess is because cops used excessive force arresting some poor loser who tried to pass a phony $20 and killed him. You got that, right? Sunk through your head, more or less?
So when a cop fires a rubber bullet into a young news reporter's face and takes out her eye, apparently for no fucking reason, it too qualifies as excessive force. You understand the basic concept here, right?
So take your usual half-hour. Think up your clever response. If you're really fucked for an answer, you can do your fall back "Trump won, sweetheart!" because that always makes you and your buddies laugh. And let's see what you have to say?

Funny to see a bunch of people who think covid is a hoax are complaining about social distancing. No better way of going after those uppity protesters?
