I don't know @Jenesis - many new and old acts would do amazing - case in point Alter Bridge (just saw them this past weekend at History with Mammoth WVH opening), Foo's, Disturb, Slipknot, Metallica (promote their new disc that is about drop) - list can go on . Football fans are rockers by heart - at least I hope they are :ROFLMAO: .
Yes, and football fans will watch, regardless of which teams are playing and whomever is performing at half time.

The half time performance is geared toward the younger, casual fan who watches the Super Bowl, but probably not many regular season games. Much of THAT audience is more interested in the special Super Bowl ads and the half time show, and they have to watch a football game to see them.

That is what I am saying - I don’t think they are anymore. Sorry sweetie.

PS. I have no idea who 3 of those 6 bands are myself.

Back in the day, (early 90's), In Living Color used to air a new episode at exactly the same time as the Super Bowl half time show.

I saw men and women. I saw shades of colour. I didn’t see any Asian but they were pretty covered.

What diversity was missing?
I thought the dancers in the white outfits were all black. I only took one close look as the camera panned over them, but I saw no whites.

Interesting fact: the most-watched Super Bowl half time performance was Katy Perry in 2015, (118 Million + viewers), about 4 Million more people than watched the game.

To each their own…I’ve never heard a Rhianna song until this weekend.
Umm ok - That was the point I was proving. Thanks for double proving it I guess. LMAO

I said that personally I had not heard of 3 of the bands. It was not a dig at rock so don’t take it as such. It was just a fact that we are different. Same as you just said.

The HT show was totally forgettable. Rehash of her old popular numbers with a bunch of folks wrapped up in white house coats writhing around.
The game totally rocked and I supported the Chiefs all the way till the end. However kudos to both the teams for giving us an amazing game. Cheers!

I'd rather watch a pregnant Rhianna than JLow's Depends. Nearly tossed my Jerk Wings.

Alter Bridge, isn't that Mark Tremonti's new band after Scott Stapp became a depraved alcoholic?

Alcoholism is a terrible disease, David Byron, Bon Scott and John Bonham all succumbed to it.
