I completely agree. Politicians of both parties care more about obtaining and keeping power then they do about the lives of their constituents although i really do believe that the GOP under McConnell is more culpable in this regard.

I don't know if you can really say who's more culpable and does it really matter? That's like saying one mass murder killed 90 and another killed a hundred. One's slightly worse but both are garbage. It's a real indictment on both the senate and the house. The fact that they care more about scoring political points is a shame. If they really cared about the people when times are this tough you would think they could put their differences aside for a while. The country is so toxic because they have so many fundamental differences between sides I don't see a path forward. Trump has stoked the fires but the country was very divided long before then. If they think Biden will change anything they are sadly mistaken. His policies will only alienate those on the right who feel that their country has changed to much whereas those on the left feel the country needs to change more. I don't see a bright future for the US except for those at the top. They will always get theirs. They always have and always will.I completely agree. I think you are right about everything you say. i do think and hope that Biden will bring a change to the nature of the debate and perhaps restore some decency and civility to the WH and Congress.
