Sounds to me like you’re incredibly savvy and insightful. I’d definitely be a regular if you ever decided to run one.And under no circumstances do I want to tarnish the fond memories any guys have with their interactions with Pink Kitty - the girls I worked with were lovely and so much fun!
The best way to think of it is like a store you go to visit all the time, the employees are always so amazing and caring and you love going there because of that, but then you find out the company was actually not a great one, it mistreated its employees, and tried to take advantage of customers whenever possible.. You wouldn't think badly of the employees who always make your shopping experiences so pleasant right?
We all had a blast working there when I was there, the girls were always great, it just sort of sucks that management wasn't great, but that doesn't mean we need to bash PK, more just have a critical eye on the management and their actions.
Celebrate the women who made that agency a great one!

I agree and PMed her pretty much the exact same thing. It seems to be clear that we need an agency in Ottawa. Despite the set of bad clients, I'm certain we have enough great clients to make it work.
And Haus of Love are only planning on being here once every 2 months and provide only safe-services, this put YFL ahead of them which are insufficient for Ottawa's need to start off with.
It really is a hole in the business that is just begging to be filled
There is no denying our history with agencies. I do think an agency could be successful here. It is unfortunate Ottawa doesn't have the best rep in terms of clients, riddled with cancelations and no-shows/fake bookings. Considering the initial investment required I feel an agency here would need to start asking one of the following: real numbers, an anonymous GC or a reference if using a text app.
Lot of money to be made in Ottawa if the prices are right. Why everyone assumes/accuses clients are the culprit of fake bookings or no-shows?
Maybe there is an easier way? I don't really have a fully cooked idea, but I'm thinking along the lines of the private spas/memberships, but more discreet. I don't know. I'm thinking there's a way to verify the real serious clients of Ottawa without having to use a reference. Maybe like a first time "orientation" where the person presents physically to a owner/manager - but can still use a handle or text app number as ID. I don't know...that's probably riddled with issues as well. Just thinking out loud.
Having lived in Toronto the agencies were the go-to all around. Scheduled, websites, and consistent services. Ottawa could definitely benefit.
We both may not be thinking of the simplest solution. A membership style could work. The only issue I see with a quick orientation is the time factor. Hypothetically, an agency starts up here and for the first few weeks 50 potential text app clients prefer an orientation at roughly 5 min/orientation. That's alot of time, and on a weekly basis.
With text apps, something's got to give. Like most things text apps were created with good intentions but over time they have become a cancer on the SP side of the industry.

The best part with agencies is that you can br somewhat confident that the lady in the pic is the lady you will see. However, in talking with ladies who are now Indy but once were agency ladies, they often book the ladies up leaving little time to recover and they fo not screen well so they are faced with many uncomfortable situations. I prefer to see a lady who I get the sense wants to be there and is comfortable. I find that this is more likely with an Indy lady but even then it is hit and miss and Indys tend to charge more than I am willing to pay as their going rate seems to $350 /h or $200 /hh or more.
Agencies serve the function of being an easy intro to the business. It’s almost like trial by fire in that those who thrive in the crucible will do well and often become great indies whereas those who sink will know it’s not for them. There’s a lot to be said for the freedom of showing up, doing your shift and leaving at the end of the day. I know a few SPs who appreciate that freedom. Of course there’s a few bad experiences but it’s how you deal with them that tells you if this job is right for you.
I used a couple from ottawaatnight. College something or other . Was a blast. I have had both awesome and horrible experiences w agencies over all. PK was incredibly hit and miss. Lol i remember some from the ads in the citizen for gods sake way back. restrictive but they always followed up w a call to see how it went.
Well thats good news, really good to hear someone from out of town is finally coming in. We can only hope they make a real effort to pick up some of that money that seems to have been left on the table for so many years. If done properly, it could provide full service, at a working man's rate, with a consistant level of service.

Call a central number, book a time with whoever it is you want to see and get an address was the was Pink Kitty and others operated. Easy as pie. Though I imagine the booking would now be done electronically. Also, you ladies might want to (in my opinion SHOULD, but it aint my business) only accept bookings if you are sent a low untraceable deposit, like a giftcard, to ensure that the fakebooking squad doesnt try to ruin you. There have been documented and organized fakebooking attacks, remember the lady from Montreal this year, fakebookers wont be willing to pay you 20 bucks in giftcards. I dunno, does Shoppers offer giftcards, women always can use something from there. Good luck, I hope you're able to set something up.

. My concern with any kind of up front token is that it can easily be a deterrent since it isn’t a standard across the industry.
I’m really disappointed to hear some of the shenanigans that have happened—what happened to plain old honesty? I’m thinking I’d prefer to go back to my more hands on personal touch way of doing things because technology can be so cold and temperamental. One of us will answer the phone, to get a sense of who’s calling and maybe in the first week or two we’ll see either someone one of us has met or someone who is vouched for by a mutual acquaintance? And in my humble experience, this forum’s members have always been fantastic — so maybe we’ll offer two for one appointments for members? Just some ideas that we have been discussing.
Location!! Downtown is clearly not the hun it once was, do gents still prefer that location to others? Other preferences? We are building from the bottom up and the sky’s the limit
