The police just don't willy nilly use the tazer on someone. They have to be doing something to justify the behaviour.
Seemingly from your comment you fail to grasp that "suspect" is one of those words like "accused." "Suspect" does not mean that 140 people didn't see Judy stab Rachel to death.
And here I was thinking that a child under the age of 12 can't be a "suspect" or the "accused".
If he really did just stab someone and was still running around with the knife... well I hope they tried to talk him down, but if he came running at them with the knife, what do you expect them to do?

Could someone point out where it was stated that the victim was stabbed 37 times? I suspect he would have been in rather serious condition if that were the case. His condition is described as:
The victim of the stabbing is in good condition in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while there is no word on the condition of the suspect.
We'll have to wait for the facts to come out of course, but based on the info we have so far, I am prepared to withhold a negative judgment on the cops tazering an 11 year old. If that 11 year old is stabbing someone, it's the cops JOB to protect the innocent. Of course they should have tazered him. DUH! It doesn't matter that he can't be charged.
WTF are people thinking? A child under twelve can kill anyone they want with a gun because the child can't be charged with murder? WTF? Of course the cops can stop that child up to and including deadly force to protect someone else's life. DUH!

Kids these days are crazy!!!!! Im sure they wouldnt of just zapped him without feeling that they were in danger.
There are many cases of officers "zapping" people when they are not in deirect danger, here is an excerpt from just one such instance:
Cpl. Graham was one of the officers who wrestled with a deranged Clayton Alvin Willey prior to his arrest in Prince George in July 2003, the civil rights group explained. Cpl. Graham bound Mr. Willey’s feet and hands behind his back in a “hogtie,” a restraint position that contravened RCMP policy.
Mr. Willey was dragged on his stomach into an RCMP detachment where he was Tasered multiple times by two other officers. He went into cardiac arrest while being transported to hospital, where he died the next morning. His cause of death was determined to be cocaine overdose.
There are other cases, including video evidence of people being tasered for not responding fast enough to police commands, while showing no direct threat to the officer.
