After another loss tonight (to the Bucks), it is now quite clear they need another big body at the centre position. Baynes not the answer, and Ibaka was a missed opportunity.

I think Lowry is done in Toronto. VV is the guy now and Flynn needs minutes. Keeping Lowry makes no sense. He won't fetch much I don't think.

After a terrible (2-8) start to the season, Toronto has fought back to 16-16.
They had reached 2 game over .500, but have dropped their last two.
Sitting 5th in the Eastern Conference as of now.

In a deadline deal yesterday, the Toronto Raptors traded Norm Powell to Portland for Rodney Hood and Gary Trent Jr.
G.T.Jr. was in his 3rd season with the Trailblazers, had played 41 games this season.
At the '97-'98 trade dealine, Gary Trent Sr. was dealt from the Portland Trailblazers to the Toronto Raptors in his 3rd year in the NBA, 41 games into the season.

They are tanking hard...their plays aren't the same without a good post player or a good driver...without that element, their shooters won't have open shots. Pascal turn out to be not the "go to guy" everyone was expecting...

Agreed @koolaidmane - each night losing against teams they should beat. Not sure what needs to be done but they need a number 1 - there is no other way this team will win. In NBA - a proven number 1 is what you need.

Raps have been base don a whole team concept because they don't have the elite star. Sadly this year they have no big men to play that kind of game this year. Or maybe Tampa has too many distractions for them and they miss the snow.

Cade Cunningham anyone?

p.s. I think Trent could be a good supporting piece.

What happens when two tanks collide?
When two tribes go to war, one is all that you can score.

The Golden State Warriors are 23-26, sitting in a 'play-in' spot right now.
They are doing anything but tanking.

Raps had 8 healthy bodies last night and fought hard. On the positive side, Flynn growing up fast, and we now have a better feel for Boucher

Someone better tell the players....

Raptors 87-54 at the half, vs. Cleveland.

That's not exactly spectacular tanking.

Saturday's game vs Knicks is on national TV. This should be a good test on how good the new look (Birch/Gillespie) Raps are really.
On the other hand no Boucher.

The Raptors season has come to a merciful end.
They'll have the 7th best odds to win the NBA Draft Lottery.
