No we haven't. The players' parents do.
Have you seen any fall off in ticket sales for Minnesota?Any fan protests?
I agree the parents have some responsibility here, but so do the fans. If we would stop supporting teams and players like that, it will change.

Money talks.

I still do not think it was that big of a deal.

A popular player from a visiting team takes a jab at the fans of the home team. Do you think all of those home team fans in the end zone are complimenting him on making a nice TD reception?

hey, first things first, if this was tom brady, or even bret favre doing something of this ilk, even though it would still be unacceptable, maybe you could see the humour in it. but when it is a player with a history of being petulant, of being arrogant, of being selfish, it is not funny.

randy moss is all about randy moss. he was even berated after the last game of the year against the 'skins, for leaving the field before the game was over, by his own teammates. he has been called to task one other time before, by his own teammates. he squirted water on an official a few years back as well, this is not a guy just having fun. this is a guy who has no respect for the game, the fans, or his teammates. sure, when he "wants" to play, he can be good, but, the negatives far outweigh the positives with this guy.

it was a disgraceful show on national television! he should be fined heavily. AND...the vikes should get rid of him A.S.A.P.! it's not like they do anything with him anyways. i am tired of these clowns like meshawn, TO, moss, and a whole lot of others, who have no brains, but alot of immaturity and stupidity. what do you expect when you give a guy who is stupid to begin with, has no education, and you give him millions of dollars. you really expect moss to grow, evolve? nope, he is one of those guys, just like we witnessed here in toronto with vince carter, who plays only when it suits his needs, and gets by only on his talent. any wonder he had a big game on national TV during the playoffs? oh, what a shock that was.

and what was with that hair? that wouldnt be allowed on any team i run. where is the professional image being portrayed in that? thats all, before i say things that will not be taken well here!

I've said it before I'll say it again:

vastly over rated player
liability to the team on and off the field
out of the league / unemployed in ±2 years ala Ricky Williams

Have we encouraged it as fans? Sure. Produced it? Not a chance.

Have to agree here. Whne he came out as a young kid he played pretty good. But now that teams have figured him out he hasn't done much. I don't think he is crap, but he sure as heck is no superstar.

He hasn't done much except score two touchdowns on a wonky ankle in the biggest game of the year.

Defences have not figured him out. The only thing that slows him down are injuries. He is the most explosive player in the game, love him or hate him.

When was the last time a "white" pro football player did something like that or even "hot dogged" in the end zone?

Let's face it, it's a "culture" thing....nothing more.

I dont find it that big of a deal...apparently there is some history behind it. Unbeknownst to me, hardcore Packers fans will moon the losing team going to the team bus, or something like that, is what I heard. Tony Dungy said he's been mooned 6/7 times. Anyone who caught PTI today will know what I'm talking about. And they also raised another good point, FOX, well Joe Buck was outraged by it...well FOX has some of the most ludicrous programming out there, so this was right up their perverbial alley!

I don't care for it, but really who cares if he PRETENDED to moon the fans. FYI, Green Bay fans moon the opposing teams bus after games as they leave the stadium parking lot after a loss. It's a tradition there. Moss was obviously poking fun at that.

Saying that Moss isn't a star is just flat out wrong. The only thing that slowed him down this year was injuries. Also the double, and yes triple teams that he faces opens up the field for his teammates.

Having said that, a team that does things right will have greater long term success. For example, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Class from the owner right on down the line.

Hey wait a minute....here.

Who said something against endzone celebrations?? Certainly not me. I think it is stupid to card them, they are fun and part of the game.

What Moss did has nothing to do with it. What he did is called taunting (I hope i spelled it close), which is very different from celebrating.
He basically told his paying fans " to kiss his ass" and the rubbed his ass against the pole. Celebrating?? Don't think so, not by a long shot.
The guy is a punk..gifted, but a punk nevertheless.

It also slays me that Fox television was outraged, considering some of the garbage that they air.

So let's see more players fighting in the stands with fans.

People need to ease up a bit. Moss is the man and the Vikings would not even be in the playoffs without him. Even with a bad ankle he scored two TD's and made the cornerback look silly on the last TD.
Classless is that clown Bertuzzi attacking a player from behind.

If you don't want to see the celebration - keep him out of the end zone.

That being said...........

it was still a bad move.

No it is not. It IS tottally RELEVANT. You mentioned that Moss was merely doing what the fans were doing. So what you ARE saying is that pro athletes should enter into childish behaviour, unprofessional behaviour. I merely made a point by providing an example of how that is wrong.
