Their daughter, Mariska Hargitay, plays Captain Olivia Benson on L&O SVU.

I think Jayne and Marilyn Monroe (who also died young) are from the same generation. Marilyn was briefly married to baseball star Joe Dimaggio.

When I was younger during hockey practice we would sometime share the ice with the figure skaters. Sometimes, we would mess with them after practice. I have a lot of respect for the male skaters who can lift their female partner up above their head. I tried it a few times and almost killed both the girl and myself.
