The simple fact of the matter is we try to live in a polite society. That in the political conversation we agree, disagree, compromise etc. But it is always done within a level of civility.
She crossed that line between protest and criminal behavior.
The charges should stand but I don't see the need to "throw the book" at her as long as she pays a fine and say serves some form of community service.
She learns her lesson, and the rest see it as well. Anything less and we invite this time of behavior against all politicians.
