I didn't say the charges would be dropped. I said she would get a discharge, which is a finding of guilt with no punishment. Has nothing to so with my opinion of Ford, it's what will happen unless she has a criminal history already.

One: You don't care is Ford smokes crack ???? If Ford is a crack user and is associated known murderers, gun runners and drug distributors ... so what ? The mayor may have with his own activities supported (buying crack) a very bad gang. Can you imagine the sense of freedom for the gang if the mayor of Toronto is buying crack and using with you ? You don't see any problem with that ?

First thing crackhead did when he came to power was to waste $120 million by cancelling transit city and stopping projects already on the go.
Now he's pretty much killed the billions in provincial funding that was to accompany it.
Since then he's raised taxes and raised spending.
He lies about his work as much as he lies about his substance abuse.
I recall that when Miller came to power the city budget was 6.7B. Under his stewardship it went up to 9.2/3B. At the same time the reserve fund was greatly reduced. To what extent has Ford increased spending from the annual level that he inherited?
The simple fact of the matter is we try to live in a polite society. That in the political conversation we agree, disagree, compromise etc. But it is always done within a level of civility.

The charges should stand but I don't see the need to "throw the book" at her as long as she pays a fine and say serves some form of community service.

Actually they probably would hold her for awhile to see if she was a continued threat. As that type of investigation could take awhile she would have found herself locked up under various laws until they could "sort it out".
it is totally to do with your opinion of ford. you hate the guy and as i have said i find him comical and love that he is exposing toronto as a world wide joke. so i am not defending him because i like him. if this happened to a public official you supported you would be screaming and ranting for prison time and calling it an assault.

Do not see a problem with that him smoking crack! As long as he dont wAste billion taxpayers of dollars I am fine with it! Who fought the union? answer Rob ford then i says who would you rather have in office someone who look good and smooth talkers like Smithrman or McGuinty type of politicians that will screw you in the end! And i will mention oliva chow all she is no different then smitherman and McGuinty, Miller. Tax spend and scandels which cost the ontario taxpayers billions of dollars of your hard earned money! At least with Rob Ford his heart is in the right places! he really care about the taxpayers of Ontario and Toronto! Just for the record there are actually a lot of well reasoned moderate people who support several of the Mayors policies. I promise not to take certain supporters too seriously if you will do the same for some of the more shrill opponents.
