Hi, I was wondering if one was inclined to try out escorting, is there any major advantages to joining an agency as opposed to going it alone?

Also is safety a big issue when it comes to seeing johns? Like are the chances low that you\'ll ever meet a psycho or someone that will cause you harm? Would it be uncomfortable to the johns to have someone somewhat closeby watching over an escort?

And looks are subjective, but hypothetically speaking if you thought of yourself as very, very attractive, does it mean you can charge much more than others or abit more assuming everything else is equal? Anyways, I just wanted to try and be abit informed before doing anything and this seemed like a good place to ask. Thanks for reading. :)

I'd say start with an agency, later you can decide if being independent suits you better. Safety is always a concern whichever you choose.
You can have someone in the general area looking out for you, if he's in the same room that won't work.
Yes, attractive girls make a bit more money but it's the service that brings repeat business.

Here's a good place to get more info. Good luck. :)

1) There are advantages to being with a GOOD agency, especially while you are learning. Contact Cupids.
2) In Canada, statistically safety for indies and good agencies isnt that much of a factor. BUT you must always be careful, and very critical about your own 'survival' instincts. As many gals have told me, the key to avoiding harm (or just the annoying) is screening email, telephone calls and every detail as you consider a booking.
Unless you are on the street, 'johns' isnt the usual term; "clients', "customers" and even "gentlemen' (really, one high class gal did use it) are more standard.

What do you mean "nearby"? Clients accept that drivers may not be far away, or gals/agencies often share incall space- so no big deal if someone is in the next room.
3) Who cares what you think? If you ARE very very attractive, I am sure men have let you know. Yes, you can charge more. Keep in mind there is a bias in the biz to being young, slender and having big tits.

But most important- do you LOVE sex w:D ith men? If you want to make serious $ at the top of the game- you cant fake it.

Do a lot of searches on this site. You will find everything need; from the guys and the gals, discussing the good, the bad, and the ugly.

In the long run, no. In the short run working through an agency will help you learn the ropes, build up a client base, and so on. In theory you can make a lot more money on your own--an agency will usually take around half. Initially though it is a lot easier to get started with agency.

Also is safety a big issue when it comes to seeing johns?
Yes. But don't scare yourself. There are sensible precautions that are fairly standard practice that will ensure that you are safe. You will learn what they are if you work through an agency, quick summary:

1. Make sure someone you trust knows where you are, and contact info (like actual phone#) of the person you are with. This is usually your driver, or if it's an incall, the booking person.

2. If it is an outcall, place an "all OK" call to the driver after you have collected the money and determined that you feel safe. In an incall leave the room with the cash and put it elsewhere. Also use that moment to reflect on whether you feel comfortable and safe with this customer.

3. Make sure someone knows when you are supposed to leave (eg: 1 hour appointment). If after 1hr there is no sign of you this person should be calling you, then banging on the door.

4. Never work the street. Never work low end places. This may be obvious to you, or not, but the people who get badly killed or beaten up are almost always street walkers.

5. Do not be afraid to contact the police if you need to. Escorts are not illegal in Canada on outcalls, and while incalls are illegal, the police will general prefer to go after a violent offender than to go after you.

Like are the chances low that you\'ll ever meet a psycho or someone that will cause you harm?
Yes, the chances are low, and if you take the above precautions, the psychos will know that they will be caught because someone will be able to give their contact information, address, whatever, to the police.

On the other hand the chances are HIGH that you will encounter someone who is rude to you, treats you a little rougher than you like (but not hurt you really), there are assholes out there, and you are bound to run into one. Most people will be very nice. The assholes will be rare, unwelcome, but there.

Would it be uncomfortable to the johns to have someone somewhat closeby watching over an escort?
It is normal to have a driver waiting across the road or somewhere nearby in a car for outcall. That is expected. In an incall you could have a couple of friends (maybe other escorts, maybe a driver) sitting quietly in another room. It is quite common for several escorts to work together in incalls (think safety in numbers). Generally in an incall situation customers do not want to meet or see any of these people (other than the half naked girls!) but if the friend is quiet and discrete and out of sight then what's the problem? How can you be uncomfortable about someone you don't know is there??

And looks are subjective, but hypothetically speaking if you thought of yourself as very, very attractive, does it mean you can charge much more than others or abit more assuming everything else is equal?
Yes, though what actually matters is do OTHER people think so ;) But yes, definatley, the more attractive you are the more you can charge, all other things being equal.

To get a better idea of standard pricing review other escorts ads, the reviews on the incall/outcall sections here, call some agencies and ask them, and so on.

Depends on your services too. You could be model material, but if all you offer is cbj and missionary, you can't charge $500 per hour.

The vast majority of guys are just looking to have a bit of fun and get their rocks off. Most have jobs and families, and do not want anyone else to find out about their hobby. Most guys do not want extra drama in their lives, so hurting an escort really would not be worth it to them.
This is true. One of my friends actually got ripped off because someone in a somewhat "similar" business threatened to expose him so he paid that person "hush" money to keep quiet.

As it has already been said...

Working with an Agency would probably be your best bet when starting...(so far, so good for me!) Though it is important to say this: (and I say this with experience, even though I haven't been doing this for very long) you MUST RESEARCH, RESEARCH , RESEARCH when it comes to the agencies that you choose to work with.

Work with a reputable agency (not an agency that advertises itself as "reputable agency, losing calls daily" on CL). Set up an interview, meet with them , research them on TERB: see what the gentlemen have to say about the agency and the girls! Make sure that when the agency claims to have security measures in place for you, and that they actually exist! I have made that mistake of being with a "reputable" "busy" "losing calls daily" agency, and had the agency owners threaten to expose my line of work to friends and family.

Take your time with your decision. Sure, the money may be a motivating factor, but take your time to mull over your decision, before you leap into choppy waters. Will you really enjoy this line of work? How are you going to feel when a client complains about your looks or service -- How will you react? What are your limits in terms of the services that you are willing to provide? What are your long-term goals? Will being in this business, change who you are from day to day?

Good luck in making your decision! I hope that your first experiences will be positive, and enjoyable! ^_^

Thankyou to everyone for the tips and suggestions. And apoligies to the gentlemen out there. :) I didn\'t think too many people would suggest going through an agency, but I\'ll look into that option more.

With regards to providing a good service, I guess I don\'t worry about that too much because I think if one takes the plunge, then you\'d want to give it your all and wouldn\'t go in half-assed, otherwise what would be the point? So I\'m abit more worried with security and STDs at the moment. I wonder if one needs to be tested frequently?

Thanks again for the tips, please don\'t hesitate to add more. :)

No-one is going to tell you not to get tested! It is a good idea to get tested regularly whether or not you are an escort, assuming you have a sex life!!

That said testing is not prevention, you want the test to always be negative! The best way to protect yourself from STD's is to be very safe. Here are some things that you can do, some of them obvious but worth repeating anyway:

1. Always use a condom for FS. No exceptions. Some customers will ask about it, refuse to see those customers at all. You probably want to avoid greek as well though it can be safe if you double bag and use lots of lube. Probably just avoid--many clients, like me, would rather NOT see an SP who is doing greek with other customers (but of course how do I know whether she is, so I am always safe too)

2. Make up your own mind about bareback BJ, kissing (LFK/DFK), and cunnilingus (DATY). There is more money for you if you do these things (that is what "GFE" means) and you aren't going to get AIDS from any of these things but you might pick up someone's cold or other non-STD from it. If you do not allow these things make that clear up front so no-one feels cheated. Amazon is 100% right about sticking to your comfort level: There is NOTHING worse than an SP who gets paranoid about STD's during a session--so just refuse to do anything that makes you uncomfortable and it will be better for the client as well as you because you will be happy and having fun.

3. Get immunized against the forms of hepatitis there is a vaccine for, get your flu shots, and immunizations for any other "normal" disease that you can catch from someone you are fucking. You don't want non-STD's either!

4. Keep the lights bright enough that you can see the guy, and check him out for any obvious signs of disease when you go down for the BJ. Obviously if you see big red spots or sores or something or he is coughing and sneezing or whatever then call the session off.

5. Insist that your clients shower, consider showering with them so you can make sure they are nice and soaped up. Make sure hands get washed. Make it sexy, this can be fun for the client, you can spend some quality time washing his parts, maybe even do a little oral in the shower!

6. Some SP's keep a bottle of hand sanitizer around for clients who want to do digits.

7. During the session pay attention to where the condom is. Some assholes will try and take it off when you are not looking (if you encounter one, stop the session and kick him out). Get your hand down there now and then and make sure it is on. Learn how to put one on properly so that it does not break (ie: no air bubbles at the top, etc.) and use lots of lube--if you are too dry it might break. Always use YOUR condoms and make sure they are a good quality brand.

8. Wash yourself before and after the session, soap and water. Make use of mouth wash.

9. Be aware of the "hassle free clinic", it is downtown, set up for high risk people, direct, but discrete--they won't give you sermons, they won't even ask you who you are, they will answer your questions, test you, help you get the vaccines you need

Overall I think a concientious SP is a lot safer from STD's than the typical bar girl because the bar girls tend not to be safe or know what they are doing, or they have sex drunk and put the condom on wrong, or whatever. In short, be a professional--don't make it mechanical, it can be fun--but be professional about your health and your clients health too.

Some obviously good advice such as using a condom but some very bad advice regarding the double bagging for greek or otherwise: DO NOT DOUBLE BAG

2. Make up your own mind about bareback BJ, kissing (LFK/DFK), and cunnilingus (DATY). There is more money for you if you do these things (that is what "GFE" means) and you aren't going to get AIDS from any of these things but you might pick up someone's cold or other non-STD from it.
I agree - make up your own mind - just know the facts because you can pick up STD's and some...from the above mentioned list.

8. Wash yourself before and after the session, soap and water. Make use of mouth wash.
Wash yourself yes, but women must be cautious with too much soap and mouthwash because you delete the good bacteria that are keeping your immune system in tact, which naturally fights off bad bacteria. Peeing is best after vaginal sex.

Also non-lubricated condoms are better, you can use a water soluble gel for lubrication, but never use Vaseline or baby oil on condoms.

Agencies are ok for starters. Most will take approx. half of your pay but you get to learn from your peers and become familiar with the industry. You can always become indy when you are comfortable.

This business is full of 'weird' people on both sides of the coin and it's not like 'Pretty Woman'. Most likely you'll encounter all kinds of people with a variety of attitudes and intentions. Some good some bad, it's something you'll have to weed out sort of speak.

Terb is good places to get a perspective on the biz. Good luck.

keep in mind the business is very hard on a person, it has a lot of negative effects on a person, you meet a lot of jerks, but then you smile just to get their money,..............

next thing you wake up and wonder why your still in the business, "the money"

Probably ;) I don't greek so I guess I shouldn't talk. If you are going to greek go research how to do it safely. I would think greek is risky even with a condom because condoms break, and when they break in normal FS it's scary but hopefully and probably still a non-event the rare time it happens. If they break during greek much more likely to be REALLY BAD NEWS.

hello angel Eyes

I am not an SP or a girl.. but i may be ur next client : D

A few tips or suggestions to you.. For whatever reason you are doing this.. whether temporary or long term.. Safety is or should be your number one concern.

- Going independant would not be agood idea especially if you are brand new..
- Check or try out an agency.. a well known agency.. example Mirage, Roommates etc.. not well known bed agencies such as "gurl next door" ..and so on..
- Reason you should check out an agency is because they train you as sum1 said and they tell you what to expect and what not to expect.. and when you should stop , should things go wrong..

- My final advise to you, if you are not sure if you want to do this, but are in need of $$$, you might want to try out working at a Spa..
Again, a good place might be Steeles Royal Spa .. or a few other well known Spas..

- These places are licensed, and also may get you really good $$$ if your looks, service and attitude are good.. clients going to Spas may not all look for FS etc.. but some do and some dont.. The choice would be yours at extra cost i guess.. But, that might be a place you might want to start at ..

Start work at a Spa, get the feel of meeting new clients , new strangers, new naked strangers.. nude privates.. touchin them etc.. .. once you are comfortable, either become Independant or join an agency.. You will definitely make good $$ in the Massage places.. if you have repeats and good reviews which you should and will if you have a great service..

I believe this is the best advise for you.. Good luck and stay safe... Whatever happens, if you start into this business, PM me ur details :)

Most of the guys you see you're not going to be physically attracted to them and you still going to have to be intimate with them, that to me would be the biggest hurdle.

I've been with a few escorts I wasn't attracted to and it wasn't all that pleasant.

Provided of course you are not worried about a criminal record.

You might want to talk to a CRIMINAL lawyer before you start. The entire MP/SPA area is the most clearly illegal pat of the traditional SP industry in Canada and one or two gets raided every month or so.
