Ontario reported #s for 2020 are less than 4,800 "covid partially responsible deaths" in a province of 14.5 million. Not minimizing those deaths, most of whom were seniors that were pathetically left to die - that was disgraceful!

However, did you know that in a "normal" year there are over 100,000+ deaths in Ontario. So less than 5% difference and actually close to normal considering fewer traffic deaths, deaths attributed to Covid also include people over 80 that may have died anyway too many candles and other conditions, fewer other deaths because people are not going anywhere.

Just putting it in perspective - we are killing the entire economy, causing enormous mental stress, when Ontario should be protecting the most vulnerable and allowing small business limited opening. Not suggesting bars should open or nightclubs or theatres but shit a small retail shoe store should be allowed to open - Al Bundy has to work too!!!
Agreed. If risk of dying (from all causes) in 2020 is not significantly different from previous years, having a higher fear of dying in 2020 (from any cause) is completely irrational.

I'd be okay with this since during the winter I really don't want to go out at night anyway

Unlike you I am not living in lockdown mode living in fear and I am still seeing sps and escorts I saw one this pass Saturday and thinking of seeing another one this Saturday ignoring all coronavirus bs rules
How do you figure I am living in fear?

Because you are sticking your dick in girls and I am not. Hint Hint. - I don’t have a dick. LOL

Banging SPs doesn’t make you big and bad. You still wear a mask, you are not going to bars and restaurants, gyms etc. You are following the lockdown whether you like it or not.

Deal with it Mr. Squishy

Really??? I work from home. Does that make me “live in lockdown”? And you said living in fear as well. Where am I shaking in my books there Squishy???? You know there is a difference between doing something out of respect and doing something out of fear, right? Probably not. I forgot who I’m talking to. LOL

I’m not escorting, I agree. I don’t need to. I’m not collecting assistances like CERB or CRB either. So what. Jelly that I make my money? I probably make more then you too. LMAO.

You are wearing your mask even though you try to lie here and say that you are not. I have already gone through this with you in another thread.

You are not going out to places because guess what - they are closed.

So as I said, fucking an escort doesn’t make you big and bad. You are not some anarchist saying fuck lockdown. You are just horny and fucking a chick. LMAO.

Having a fear of death period is completely irrational. Everyone dies. Everyone. There is no escaping it. Fearing the inevitable is just irrational in every sense of the word.

Can I, at least, dye your pubic hair to purple? It will help feel feminine. You know, soft and squishy, like CM. LMAO

non-permanent I promise ;)

Doom and gloom and everything is going to shit.

Pappa Ford is very disappointed with all of us.

Ford concedes 'more extreme measures' needed as COVID-19 situation worsens

...
He said that if basic public health measures “continue to be ignored” in the province, the consequences “will be dire.”

“The shutdown won’t end at the end of January, and we will have to look at more extreme measures,” he said. “This is the most serious situation we’ve ever been in since the beginning of the pandemic.”

The premier made the comments while saying that new COVID-19 modelling would be released on Monday or Tuesday of next week and that the data would be so shocking, residents will “fall off their chair” upon its release.

“Everything is on the table right now. There will be further measures, because this is getting out of control and we have to do whatever it takes,” Ford said. "We are in a crisis. It it is scary. And we need to work together."

Ontario shattered its COVID-19 record Friday as more than 4,200 cases were logged, citing a data backlog that accounts for about 450 of the new infections. However, even if those 450 cases were removed from Friday’s total there would still be a record 3,799 new infections logged.

Ford stopped short of saying which public health restrictions his government is considering, but has said that a curfew, similar to the one imposed in Quebec earlier this week, is an option.

Associate Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Barbara Yaffe said that the current spread of COVID-19 in the province has forced health officials to consider the more stringent measures and that such restrictions could resemble those seen in the spring.

"Today's numbers, to be frank, are scary," she said, while underscoring that hospitals across the province are struggling to provide care for both COVID-19 and non COVID-19 patients. "The hospitals are starting to have to cut back on elective surgeries and other very important procedures that require ICU care."

In a memo obtained by CTV News Toronto on Thursday, Ontario Health’s President and CEO Matthew Anderson told hospitals to prepare to accept COVID-19 patients from across the province as space in intensive care reaches capacity.

No it’s not. It’s what makes us human, unless becoming a BOT is your thing.

IDK about you but BOTs are kind of boring and lame.

Meh - if you want to live in fear, have at it.

I choose not to. I have had people die in my life, life still went on. I will die at some point, life will still go on. We will all die. I’m not going to live in fear of it.

But then I don’t live a boring BOT life as you call it. I have a great life, I have great friends and family, I have seen so many places in the world, experienced so much more then many others. So maybe because I live life, I am not afraid of death.

But again, you go ahead and have your fear. If you think that really helps you.

So what, that doesn’t change anything. I also had close people die through cancer and watched them go through that process in a short amount of time. I been in a situation or two where I thought I was going to. It changes nothing, and did not alter my life that much, although I still have the feeling and helps me understand my limits better.

Having fear doesn’t mean you shouldn’t live do everything you want to. Having fear means you are recognizing an emotion vs. trying to suppress it. You know humans have many emotions, what are you going to do click a button and turn off the ones you think are irrational. Fear helps with survival. So we know if we drive like maniacs without seatbelt and do crazy shit like BASE jumping we are increasing our chances of death and decreasing our chances of life. The fear of death makes us aware and helps us determine the most appropriate survival strategy.

There are many people in this world who fear death and constantly do risky shit and are thrill seakers. Some get off at feeling the feeling of fear.

Suppressing fear and other emotions is the irrational part. See you are projecting here.

You are correct. But unfortunately in the current situation death rate does not mean much.

It's hospitalization that public health care about. And it's not really even for the number of beds. Extreme measure are taken to make sure our healthcare workforce can handle it.
+1 ^^^

This is what so many don't understand. It's about hospitals having the capacity to treat the sick and not just COVID patients. When ICUs become overloaded, it becomes increasing difficult to manage. ICU nurses are highly specialized individuals and there's only so many of them. When the beds approach capacity, it means they can't effectively treat people in a timely manner. That goes for all the other ailments and diseases.

They know for a fact, one of the greatest contributors to this current spike was caused by people socializing with others outside of their household and not wearing masks over Christmas.

Personally, I don't care if there's a lockdown. There's nothing to do between 8PM - 5AM. I still believe there's lots of people socializing with others outside the people they live with. Probably lots going to parties which ultimately spreads the virus to more people. Then some older people get it and the ICUs start to fill up.

If we're approaching 5,000 cases a day in Ontario (and that's just the ones confirmed by tests), imagine how many cases there'd be if everything was opened up and we lived like conspiracy-man!

What are you arguing for???? Seriously?

I’m not going to live In fear of death. You are.

Good for you and good for me. Why do you need to project your opinions on to me and try to change mine?

Just accept that we are different. I’m not calling you wrong so stop trying to call my way of life wrong. Live how you want and I will to. Like who is projecting on to who? LMAO.

Telling me how to feel and what I am feeling...... like sheesh 🙄

LOL discussing points is now arguing to you.

Anyways there is no point talking to you about different of opinions since you keep taking it personal and are trying to make it into a fight.

Sorry I am not interested.

I agreed to disagree and you came back telling me I’m suppressing my feelings. So who is trying to argue with who? That is not discussion. Nice try. It is why I called you out for it.

Glad you are willing to move on now.... I agree. Move on.

I bet he gets squishy with the escort and doesn't get the job done either. Plus, I bet the lady wishes he was wearing a mask. LMAO

At least CM's CERB is going to a young lady if he really is hobbying. I tend to not believe that part either.

Hey Jen, do you feel the need to argue with every guy on this forum??
Its kind of a bad look when you continue to argue with customers (or potential customers).
