He and other politicians had foreknowledge about the new forthcoming travel restrictions. Now you will need to have a negative covid test result - at the airport - to enter country. The 14 day quarantine was a walk in the park.

Good!
A negative test within the last 72 hrs should be Mandatory across the Country
Airports/Bridge Crossing/Ports...

I suspect Ontario will follow in a few weeks with curfew. My guess it will reduce escort business by 50%

No.

Overall death rate (including all forms of death) ain't much different than last year or year before. You are right deaths are deaths. But these curfews will keep people sufficiently in despair. Birthrates are plummeting. Now this is serious.

You are correct. But unfortunately in the current situation death rate does not mean much.

It's hospitalization that public health care about. And it's not really even for the number of beds. Extreme measure are taken to make sure our healthcare workforce can handle it.

I do not know about Ontario but in Quebec they all had their christmas vacation refused. 6500 are currently in quarantine (with the virus or preemptively).

It's all about them.

We should have allowed them to separate.

Everything is about death rate. That’s the problem when we lost our faith in God.
What I mean is that I know for truth that the decision of public health are not based on death rate but on the capacity of healthcare workers to handle the situation.

I know what you mean. It was my philosophical side talking.

I’ve just been spending too much time lately learning about the fall of the Russian Tsars. Last monarchs defending Christianity.

Ontario reported #s for 2020 are less than 4,800 "covid partially responsible deaths" in a province of 14.5 million. Not minimizing those deaths, most of whom were seniors that were pathetically left to die - that was disgraceful!

However, did you know that in a "normal" year there are over 100,000+ deaths in Ontario. So less than 5% difference and actually close to normal considering fewer traffic deaths, deaths attributed to Covid also include people over 80 that may have died anyway too many candles and other conditions, fewer other deaths because people are not going anywhere.

Just putting it in perspective - we are killing the entire economy, causing enormous mental stress, when Ontario should be protecting the most vulnerable and allowing small business limited opening. Not suggesting bars should open or nightclubs or theatres but shit a small retail shoe store should be allowed to open - Al Bundy has to work too!!!
