The Conservatives wanted to cut funding for the CBC where as the Liberals continue to throw more tax dollars their way. Hence the coziness between the CBC and the Liberals, the CBC is nothing but a money pit, if they can’t survive without tax dollars then see you later.

Harper cut the CBC by $115 million, the Liberals 'restored' only $108 million. Which is why half the Toronto Broadcast Centre is sublet to other tenants.

Most of the government money goes to CBC Radio which reaches 99% of the population from sea to sea to sea. CBC-TV is largely self-supporting, even though it is required to use its prime-time hours for Canadian produced content.

These right wingers are getting more and more extremist with their Islamophobe and other racist actions. Unfortunately, many migrants of colour had to undergo all sorts of racism in the past centuries that seems to have been water under the bridge. Now when you see these disgusting fake information that seems to be ingrained in some of these right wingers minds they seem to be winding the clock backwards in history. Canada is and will always be multicultural. The second and third generation of Muslims contrary to beliefs of these right wingers are becoming more and more Westernised. Look at the many Iranians who live along Yonge Street and notice how you can barely identify them as Muslim. The women I know are so hot and prefer being identified as Persians. They barely go to places of worship and their parents accept them for who they are.

If anything these right wingers should embrace Islamic people (at least the older generation), they carry conservative beliefs and are likely to vote conservative. Maybe they're far too conservative for them? No, right wingers fear what they don't know and scared to understand reality.
