I didn't realize that that would be an issue, thank you for pointing it out.
I see that you have your Twitter address listed on your profile here. It's not a difficult or time-consuming thing to do, and I wish more ladies would do so.
I’m not sure what you’re actually allowed to link on your profile if you aren’t a paying advertiser on Terb.
I used to have my website and twitter linked on my profile/signature but mods removed it. 🤷‍♀️

I’m easily searchable on Google if you type in my name and Ottawa. As are most other well known providers with social media and websites. Or if you search reviews here you will probably find our links posted as well.

I know you have a great online presence. Same with Ruby, Nadia, Kitty, Ali, Maddie, etc.

Just a friendly reminder to providers participating in the auction. The whole point of the auction is to support charity (originally SW focused charities such as CORAS and the SWPDF) please include your pledged amount towards your charity of choice in your posts.
It’s a win win all around.

I think that the few mentions in brackets that the charity is supposed to be SW related makes sense, however I feel that we should be free to request donations to an organization of our choice without guilt.
I received an anonymous text from an app shaming me for straying from the suggested charity requirements.

Kingston used to have SWAG (Sex Worker's Action Group) but as far as I know, it hasn't been active in years.

So, my first choice is an organization very close to my heart, a feral cat rescue.
If not the rescue, it would be something related to women and addiction.

Sorry, not sorry.

I am also only receiving messages from those who are interested in the fantasies I've proposed and are either time wasters or are attempting to forgo the deposit and bidding process.

The "oh someday I'd love to do that with you" or "I'm not going to bid, let's keep it between you and I for the future"...

I had much more luck when I was bidding on the client fantasy.

Ah sorry that really didn’t come out right. Wasn’t meaning to shame anyone at all. Was just trying to share the original intent of the auctions.
I just saw a couple posts that didn’t include a charity at all.

No, I know you weren't intending that at all.
I don't see you as that type of malicious person.

I was moreso referring to the text I received as shaming, with the few posts referring to charity preference as their ammo.

I'm pretty sure I know who was behind the text and it most definitely isn't any of the great SPs or MAs who are participating in the auction.

And this is how it gets ruined for the rest of us. Way to go, gents 👎
It's ridiculous.

I just received a bid of 250 for my fantasy #3...

Lucky me.

I set a minimum bid of 300 plus 50 for charity for this fantasy.

I can't even. SMH. The stupidity of some.

It's INSULTING that someone thinks one hour of my time with an extensive fantasy is worth 200 and 50 to charity.

I'm accepting the one decent bid I have and am pulling out of this and deleting my fantasies, the frustration isn't worth it.

Good luck to everyone.

This is why we can't have nice things. Sorry to you (and all the ladies) that this is happening. Guys, the rules were very clearly laid out in advance (such as general rule #5 - "Do not make any bids that are below the minimum bid stated by the provider.") and words have meanings - MINIMUM, for example. Do better.

Honestly it’s pretty disheartening to see @KittyCaterina droping out due to the behaviour of some people on this board.

I have to echo her sentiment here though.
Compared to the success of the last auction, this auction has been terrible. Which is a little surprising considering the enthusiasm many here had when they were thirsting at the idea of hearing all of our fantasies!

It takes time and effort to organize these things, not just in making the posts and taking away time from our personal lives to respond to questions or reply on these threads.
The lack of effort on the client’s part (when actually in this auction you’re supposed to be doing all the legwork but realistically it’s still us doing the labor) is just laughable. 🙄

I’m considering just accepting the one decent bid I’ve received and dropping out because this is an incredible waste of my time and effort.
Pretty sad considering you won’t see me post these fantasies at these discounted rates ever again.

Do we update our bid with the “min bid” once we’ve received more than one bid and they’re a lot higher than the initial minimum bid???? Just to avoid letdowns of people PM’ing with other offers…

sorry if this doesn’t make sense I’m just a tad confused😅

Yeah you can update the minimum so new bidders know what the new minimum is at. Or leave it as is. I know some providers are going to accept runner ups or more than 1 winner so you can leave that option open too.

I’ve removed my posts from the auction.

I had much more success in my auction on Twitter last year which raised over 2,000$ for the SWPDF.

Unfortunately this forum doesn’t seem to be the right place for supporting charity or respecting the efforts made by many of the providers here, and it’s truly disheartening.

I’ll be posting a new auction over on my Twitter account probably next month. So if you missed your chance here, hopefully you’ll have better luck next time.

I don’t offer regular discounts or specials, so if you’re on a budget and haven’t been able to see me previously then your best bet is to wait till I offer some type of incentive in support of CORAS or the SWPDF.

Good luck to everyone else still participating.

When I saw the rules listed, I actually thought this would go off the rails because of the min bid requirement. Why have that rule? Providers don't have to accept any bid they don't want to so just ignore the bids that are below a threshold that one might have. Having a min bid rule simply leaves room for people to be offended that an unnecessary rule was broken. Now people are bailing because they are insulted. I know that this was not an official charity auction but, in my opinion it shows low class to bail on a charity auction because you did not like a bid that was not gonna win anyway.

To be clear, I did not bid on any of the scenarios so this is certainly not sour grapes. Just my observation of what is happening.

Minimum bid makes it clear to people what amount the provider needs to receive for the services she's providing and to be able to also make the donation to charity. In theory (although apparently not in practice), it should weed out the time wasters and the people who aren't taking this seriously. It also sets a floor to encourage people to exceed it, because of the charity component. I've never once been involved with a charity auction that didn't include minimum bids.

Regardless, even if it was an unnecessary rule, they're still the rules and everyone knew them going in - it was literally the first post in the thread. All people had to do was follow them. It's not complicated.

That’s not why I’m bailing. And if you’re insinuating it’s low class to bail on an auction, I’d like to just reiterate the amounts above I’ve already raised for charity… and am continuing to do so on a platform where the bidders have been much more respectful in their offers.
That’s all.

Also, having a minimum bid was the best way to ensure providers would at least have their overhead expenses covered and enough wiggle room for the pledged donation. This way they aren’t providing any labor for free and all of the donations out of pocket.

Fair enough. My concern of people taking their ball and going home because a few players are making it not fun for them remains. Why air it out in the thread? Seems like they want others to quit with them.

Seems like they want others to quit with them. Participate, or don't,. It really doesn't matter, but bringing this out for everyone seems to be trying to sour everyone on the experience. There are some great scenarios presented and I am sure there are some fantastic bids. Let it play out. No need to make this a public dispute spewing negativity.
