Don't know if anyone has looked at the details in this semiofficial GOP policy doc but it's scary as fuck how happily the crowd that lauds the constitution is happy to vote for people who want to abandon it for personal benefit.

Along with all their typical 'war on woke' bullshit, it is meant to essentially collect power in the executive branch, essentially abandoning the balance of powers the Founders saw as necessary to prevent tyranny (which they would be dead-set against under a Democratic POTUS).

Plenty of commentary out there but anyone with the time should at least skim through the actual doc.

Yes, project 2025 will be a disaster if rump manages to implement it.
Yet another disaster to be added on to Biden killing his reelection over supporting genocide.

So true, it's the right-wing's fever dream of establishing a one party rule, basically destroying American democracy. Setting up a modern day type of Confederacy, that allows a white-Christian Nationalist country to rise and seize all power.

If you notice this plan doesn't come from Trump himself, he's too dumb, lazy and devoid of ideology to come up with this. Just as long as it gives more power to do whatever he wants, he would gladly go along with it. Any pathological liar, malignant narcissist would love Project 2025, that lying buffoon would essential be a king. America's democracy is on a knife's edge, staring at the abyss.

It is evil. It is the form of government found only in the most oppressive regimes in the world. The USA implemented the Civil service act in the late 1880s because this sort of government was thoroughly corrupt and incompetent. This idea plans to go back to corrupt incompetence (and no you morons arguing the USA government is incompetent- it has its flaws but is actually quite excellent and just compare it to the majority of the world). Moreover, pledging loyalty to a party or man means no loyalty to law. Thus...let the proud boys push a few critics out the windows, and have the incompetent new project 2025 govt drag their feet, fail to investigate, and if it is too obvious, let judge Cannon decide to throw it out due to some misperceived technicality.
That's what awaits the USA.

Fact is that you and your fellow travelers are so obsessed about Israel that you're willing to throw away democracy and enable a totalitarian party. Though a desire for authoritarianism could explain why you are so willing to defend leaders like in Iran or Hamas.

He had a few decent knowledgeable people - the generals, tillerson, cohn for example - but he chased them all out.
