Pro vs Non-Pro

I have been reading reviews on here and ads on craigslist, that refer to the girl as being NON-PRO.

Non pro to me means someone on-line just looking for a one night fling, some quick sex....just a little fun no strings attached.

Call me silly, but if there is a price tag attached does that not infer PRO?

if there is quid pro quo, then she is a pro

Another Angle

If they are not pros then they are amateurs (of course when you take money you are supposed to turn pro in most sports) and amateurish service is what most provide (based on the reviews I have read).

Is it is more of a warning but looks better in a heading than "buyer beware".

It does imply PRO, and you are correct to infer that from a fee schedule.

I just started reading criagslist ads because talk of them seems to be popping up here more and more. I think they are really funny.

Are people trying to kid themselves....that they are not paying for sex.

They request NON-PRO but offer gifts and money.

Remember money exchanged is for time only, anything else that may happen between two consenting adults....

Well, pro typically stands for "professional" or someone who does it for a living. Non-Pro or amateur IMO is someone who is doing it once or twice to raise some quick coin. You hear a lot about them needing money for rent, tuition or hydro bills etc.

Awww,

I am a radical capitalist who thinks that woman have the right to make their own decisions about how to use their bodies !

I support you Molly , how come you cannot support a ''non pro ''

I sense some bitterness to the non pros ?

I've herd about women offering sexual services for electronics like gaming consoles and iPhones. I also herd about schoolgirls in Japan doing this for fancy clothes and such. Would these be considered non-pros?

I wish we still had a barter system. I got some university text books I could let go of.

I agree non-pro implies someone who is just doing this on the side, and not as a fulltime thing.

In particular, you would expect that a non-pro does not have a "routine". You would expect her to be a bit unsure what to do next and just wing it. That might appeal to people who are looking for a more "authentic" experience.

That said, I bet 99% of the "non pro" girls on CL are long-time SP's who think they can charge a premium and get more business by calling themselves "non pro".

A real "non pro" likely does not advertise.

always hire a pro. After all would you hire an electrician or plumber who is just a hobbyist??

So next time you need your pipes cleaned call a pro.

Nope...no craigslist ad.

I almost put one up and was reminded of the time I advertised in the back of one of our local entertainment rags. I spent Two weeks screening calls from guys looking for phone sex and other oddities....they were so not professional.

I think perhaps another factor to consider is that CL are a US based site and in some US jurisdictions merely carrying escort ads can result in legal
charges. I have seen a news item on cnn recently where a weekly magazine somewhere in NY state
was charged. Likely CL routinely delete ads that sepcifically state that the lady is a pro.
