Pressure is mounting on Biden to resign

I think Kamala would be their best chance at this point. If they don't go with her it will cause further mistrust (if that's possible at this point) in that she was chosen to be the VP, and in the event something bad happened to Biden she would assume the role of POTUS. So if she is not chosen now, that entire decision will be scrutinized by both parties.
Can it be that easy that all the key Democrats will just accept Kamala as Biden's successor?
Will some prominent Democrat(s) step in and challenge Kamala?
After all, if there was a primary contest there would have been a serious challenge to Kamala. We know VPs often do not come up on top when seeking the Presidency.

My vibe is that Kamala will be accoladed as the "unity candidate" in the same way Old Joe was 4 years ago. A smart, white male up-and-comer will be picked for Veep.

She's gonna make a great prez, Earp. You'll grow to love her. And 8 years from now - when Trump is still trying to get attention by wearing that silly bandage over his ear - you'll be thankful that you experienced one of the great, transformative Dem administrations in US history.

A smart white male up and comer doesn't exist in the Un Democrat party.

Considering that the GOP's own "smart white male up and comer" Veepnom spent his speech ranting about immigrants, abortion and how his granny played with guns, I think the Dems will do allright.

Let's try to have some serious discussions here before the rest of the prog squad infest these threads.

I think Kamala will have a hard time appealing voters in the Great Lakes region. This was why Biden was supported by the party in 2020. Now anticipating some broader race criticism of Rust Belt voters, I will point to Obama's success. Now I would probably admit female candidates might have an issue in this region. But how do we know? Hillary didn't bother to spend a lot of time campaigning in the region.

If Kamala busts her ass campaigning in the region and downplaying her ties to California State politics, she might have a chance.

Vance was specifically picked to shore up the Rust Belt.

He will have no appeal in California, New England and Ontario for that matter.

Well, Newsom comes to mind. I don't know if he would want to be a VP under Kamala.

Pritzker from Illinois is a possibility. Even though he is filthy rich, he looks like a guy who likes beer and a rack of barbecue ribs.

BREAKING: Per
@MarkHalperin
, Biden will announce his withdrawal as soon as Sunday, followed by an OPEN Democrat convention between Kamala and three or more rivals. Biden will NOT endorse his VP and will NOT resign the presidency. This could be the wildest month in American political history.
Nah dude. The wildest moment of american political history was election idiot psycho Trump in 2016.

name me one of his 2016 team that is not in jail or still endorse him.

Hidding things to the public seems to be the new norm. Grifting is the new norm of the gop.
The Dems have been grifting the public for the past 4 years hiding Biden's mental state and trying to distract to other things until they couldn't any longer.
That should make you uncomfortable and worried about what else they've been hiding.

GOP is probably dead in NE and certainly dead in CA.

The issue is who takes the swing states, as always. And you're right. The Great Lakes is where most of those swing EC seats are.

That said, Pritzker seems a decent choice.

Resign or withdraw?
Withdraw. He'll serve out the remaining months of his term.

Unless the thinking is to showcase KH as prez for a few months.

What else have they been hiding, Skoob? Please share?

The fact that the country thought that Biden was doing a pretty good job of prezzing until the disastrous debate tends to indicate that his team was 100% up to the task, even if he was sleeping a lot of the time.

Isn't there a convention against the Prez and Veep both being from one state?

And yeah, you'd want to balance the ticket. So white guy from the mid west
