Pressure is mounting on Biden to resign

It's a shame that Biden's ego won't let him pull out voluntarily. In his heart, even if not in his compromised mind, he must know that he can't win as the Dem's presidential candidate in November.

Every day he hangs on as their candidate is another day lost for either Harris, or an even more electable person, to step up and start campaigning as the presumptive Democratic candidate...

Exactly where's the transparency that they are always talking about?
Now it all makes sense if you think about it...how do you distract the public from your current leader? You attack the political opponent by ensuring the public is focused on headlines about them.

Have your read about Joe Bidens daughters diary? The guy is a creep. His son is a crackhead who has done much worse things than Trump.

Putin is going to treat Biden like a little bitch, and you know what that feeble old man will do to save face. Call it malarky and hit the nuke button.

Trumps biggest problem is that he has no filter. Grow some balls and learn not to let another man’s words hurt you.
Gotta love the people who want to hand over all their tax money to a 34 time felon, convicted of fraud and with a history of stiffing his investors, workers and team.

Kamala is about to take one for the team here I'm afraid.

With her in the catbird seat they're going to really have to turn up the dial on Trump...Which is going to escalate the tensions between the parties big time. This is going to get more ugly than it already is.

I have this feeling watching Tucker Carlson next to Trump at the convention the other night that is he that is guiding him P/R and strategy wise. Would explain the more tactical Trump we are seeing lately.
I think Kamala would be their best chance at this point. If they don't go with her it will cause further mistrust (if that's possible at this point) in that she was chosen to be the VP, and in the event something bad happened to Biden she would assume the role of POTUS. So if she is not chosen now, that entire decision will be scrutinized by both parties.

You think the right wing media hasn't been attacking Biden and his family for years?

Talk to anyone from his former team. They all said Trump has no agenda, no policy other than anything going down his pocket.

His tariff rules were a disaster economically but a good stunt politicaly.

A lifetime grifter will always grift.
What a farce. I guess real wage growth for the middle class, a secure US-Mexico border, revised trade agreements, energy independence, no new foreign wars/conflicts, the Abraham Accords and the lowest unemployment rates for minorities in history just magically appeared out of thin air eh?

Hidding things to the public seems to be the new norm. Grifting is the new norm of the gop.
Jali, you seem to be lost in the events of the day. Biden is going to being replaced. Some of the prominent liberals here have either adopted a wait and see silence. Others are already discussing what comes next.

You need to accept that Biden will not beat Trump. He won't be given the chance.

Can it be that easy that all the key Democrats will just accept Kamala as Biden's successor?
Will some prominent Democrat(s) step in and challenge Kamala?
After all, if there was a primary contest there would have been a serious challenge to Kamala. We know VPs often do not come up on top when seeking the Presidency.

My vibe is that Kamala will be accoladed as the "unity candidate" in the same way Old Joe was 4 years ago. A smart, white male up-and-comer will be picked for Veep.

She's gonna make a great prez, Earp. You'll grow to love her. And 8 years from now - when Trump is still trying to get attention by wearing that silly bandage over his ear - you'll be thankful that you experienced one of the great, transformative Dem administrations in US history.

A smart white male up and comer doesn't exist in the Un Democrat party.

Considering that the GOP's own "smart white male up and comer" Veepnom spent his speech ranting about immigrants, abortion and how his granny played with guns, I think the Dems will do allright.

Let's try to have some serious discussions here before the rest of the prog squad infest these threads.

I think Kamala will have a hard time appealing voters in the Great Lakes region. This was why Biden was supported by the party in 2020. Now anticipating some broader race criticism of Rust Belt voters, I will point to Obama's success. Now I would probably admit female candidates might have an issue in this region. But how do we know? Hillary didn't bother to spend a lot of time campaigning in the region.

If Kamala busts her ass campaigning in the region and downplaying her ties to California State politics, she might have a chance.

Vance was specifically picked to shore up the Rust Belt.

He will have no appeal in California, New England and Ontario for that matter.

Well, Newsom comes to mind. I don't know if he would want to be a VP under Kamala.

Pritzker from Illinois is a possibility. Even though he is filthy rich, he looks like a guy who likes beer and a rack of barbecue ribs.
