I will believe it when I see it.

I've lost track of how many articles like this where science has supposedly discovered a cure for one scourge or another (baldness, diabetes, rumatoid arthritis, cancer, HIV, insert the disease of your choice). You read about it, there may even be some excitement, and you think, "hey, that's great news", but then it fades away and you never hear about it again.

I truly suspect that this will be one and the same.

If and/or when my hair fall out, it'll be the last thing I'll worriy about in this thing called life. Not a chance I'm taking unnecessary drugs.

side effects.

there also was propecia and minoxidil.

look at how effective those were.

Although no human trials have yet been conducted, the BBC is reporting that an osteoporosis drug has shown real promise in lab studies in blocking the protein which causes hair follicles to go dormant.

I think with everything going on in the general world and in the pooners' world, I could not think of a less meaningful topic to discuss. Really? Baldness? It is a right of passage and should be embraced. After all, we have money to compensate for that lack of hair.

Why would anyone take these drugs when they have such terrible side effects?

Good point particularly since the baldness issue has been cured by science already ...

Indeed largely my feeling. Hence my wording my post as I did.

I hope this time it does work, but this is very, very early days.
