You know, I first came across that song 1 month ago while watching some Spanish MTV channel in a third world country ... thought the vid was a joke initially, given the attire of the duo. Man, was I ever wrong and their tracks grow on you definitely.

This is my fav track from Empire of the Sun

Absolutely unique David Sylvian, one of my top 5 favorites. Here is tranquil "Orpheus" from "Secrets of Beehive".

Another one from Sylvian's live tour. Look at the line-up: Robert Fripp (guitar), Trey Gunn (Warr Guitar) and Pat Mastelotto (drums) - King Crimson! Robert Fripp asked Slyvian to join the next KC line-up but he declined and suggested "Damage" tour instead. Abolutely amazing music for those who like unusual stuff.
Wave - live
This tune was originally released on Sylvian's "Gone to Earth" CD.
Nice to know there are other terbites who listen to David Sylvian.

Sylvian is very underrated in North America. Understandably , his stuff is not for everyone. I have followed Sylvian since his heavy make up days in his group , Japan, until his " the first day " project with Fripp , about ... like 12 years ago. Started listening to him again with his track " world citizen " from the flick " Babel" , which interestingly, someone also posted, although not on the same track.

Anyway, this is the track which will always remind me of his collab with Fripp,

The groove doesn't kick in until 3 min in.

Sakamoto is another Sylvian's long time collab, since 1983. He is one of my all time fav composer/performer/pianist.
