Damn straight. He is a great man. He feels he made a mistake (I don't but that is another conversation) and he makes amends for it. Don't think I'd be seeing any Grand Ayatollah of Shit anytime soon apologizing for anything especially terrorist bombings, murders, shootings, machete killings, etc, etc, etc.

The New York Times said in an editorial the Pope must issue a "deep and persuasive" apology for quotes used in his speech.

"The world listens carefully to the words of any pope. And it is tragic and dangerous when one sows pain, either deliberately or carelessly," it said.

In the speech, the Pope referred to criticism of the Prophet Mohammad by 14th century Byzantine Emperor Manuel II Palaeologus, who said everything Mohammad brought was evil "such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached."

Using the terms "jihad" and "holy war," the Pope said violence was "incompatible with the nature of God."

It's no secret that The Rat fought against Liberation Theology, and it's no secret that he was instrumental in getting Pope JP II to condemn it. Heck, they even made the condemnation of Liberation Theology the official Church doctrine not once, but twice, once in 1984, and again reaffirmed it in 1986.

In the meantime, while government death squads were out killing the poor in El Salvador, Pope JP II and Cardinal Rat were busy silencing priests who spoke out against the death squads ... really makes me proud to have been born Roman Catholic!!

99% of the non muslim population doesn't give a shit about religion. Christians, Hindus, Budhists, etc. all they want is a place to go to for weddings and funerals. As far as Catholics, the pope says lots of shit that nobody pays attention to, like no jerking off, no using condoms, don't get divorced, don't fuck a girl in the ass, no blow jobs, don't do this, don't do that. Nobody cares what the religion says until there's a reason to eat and get drunk and church is basically just a boring place where you spend half an hour before you go to the party. When is the Muslim world going to understand that nobody else cares about religion?

The Catholics don't pay attention to what the pope says, so why are the Muslims?. My theory is they are jealous that Catholics can have their cake and eat it. Because a Catholic can eat sausage and get his cock sucked and smoke drugs and he still goes to heaven because our god forgives everybody,.... But a Muslim doesn't go to heaven unless he beats his wife and covers her up from head to toe, doesn't let his own daughters learn how to read or write, and goes out and kills the infidels and blows up innocent people. So its way easier for a catholic to go to heaven than a muslim.
