Those were in April. Since then many dentists have either signed up to it or willing to go with the July 8th Sun Life Insurance that is funded by the Government. No different from any other employment insurance plan. But clearly I already posted that fact, that you deliberately ignored:

Meanwhile, for those without an existing oral health provider, Sun Life’s CDCP Provider Search tool can help locate a nearby provider. Also, from July 8, providers can directly bill Sun Life on a claim-by-claim basis without enrolling in the CDCP, allowing clients to choose any provider willing to direct bill Sun Life.

Seniors aged 65 and older, without dental insurance and with an adjusted family net income below $90,000, are eligible to apply for the CDCP. Starting in June, eligibility will extend to adults with a valid disability tax credit and children under 18.
“I would like to thank Canadians for embracing the phased approach to roll out the largest public benefit in our history,” Minister of Citizens’ Services Terry Beech stated. “In approximately one month, children and eligible persons with disabilities can also apply online for the Canadian Dental Care Plan.
“Tens of thousands of Canadians have already received necessary oral healthcare under this plan. With kids and persons with disabilities enrolling next month, we are making sure everyone gets the care they need.”
Depending on their household income, CDCP clients may have to pay a co-payment and additional charges based on the services received. It is essential for clients to verify the amount not covered by the CDCP before receiving any services, as direct reimbursement from Sun Life is not an option.

btw your article speaks about people who have signed up and offers nothing in terms of independent dentist adoption.

I already posted an article with the latest revelation of how Sun Life will be dealing with this new very popular dental plan.
How come over 100,000 Seniors have already used the plan if it was "botched"? You really try to throw a negative light on every single thing that this Government does for the people.
Now if dentists who already directly bill Sun Life will be doing so after July 8th, then tell me how different is it from the present Company Dental plans that do so directly with the Insurance providers? Of course you do not have a response to that question. Your April postings including the usual biased ones are outdated. PERIOD!!

Let me explain to you in Layman's terms as to why the Dentists originally were not too keen although over 6500 signed up in Canada.

The Dentists were worried about not having the staff to process the complications surrounding the paperwork and legalities of this rollout.
However, once Sun Life were contracted to do so, this is why after July 8th, nearly all the dentists are willing to comply with it!!
If you need to see a dentist in your area before July 8th then there is an easy search mechanism to do so:

What are you talking about? Ohh boy!! Nothing "botched" when over 100,000 Seniors now and millions of children in the past without insurance already used it.

Canada was far better in its handling of the Pandemic than not only that stupid POTUS called Trump, but several other Nations around the Globe.
When the PM stated that the Canadians will get the Covid vaccine at their choosing after September 2021, of course Pee Pee stated that it was not possible.
We know that The PM was right and Pee Pee's argument is just like yours with respect to the Dental Care. The Canadians could choose to have it from August 2021....... yes a month earlier!!
No matter how the Dental care benefits those who really need it, you will try to find excuses to call it "botched"...................ROTFLMAO!!
