I have a prepaid phone that I 'antiqued' so it looks old and beatup; I keep it in the junk in the trunk of my car and would claim I found it if it ever was noticed. I wipe the call history after use and keep it locked.
Any numbers I store on my phone I 'encrypt' with a simple method that would foil a simple search. I alter the number I am going to record in my data by taking the last four numbers and then add one to the first number, subtract one from the next number, add one to the next number and subtract one from the last number. Sounds cumbersome but it's easily reversed.
E.g. 416-555-1234 is recorded as 416-555-2143. The area code and exchange are valid and a search for the whole number or even the last four numbers would not turn up the hidden number.
With regards to not using detailed billing, I'm not sure if that would save you since I know that in the past you could buy anyone's call history for the last six months off the web. Maybe the lack of detailed billing would exclude this but it still makes me nervous.

They were introduced by a mutual friend who vouched for both of them, she isn't a gold-digger and he isn't a cheating sports star.
Now if you want to say in the wake of his multiple infidelities she has turned into a gold-digger - perhaps so but who opened that can of worms - further I just read this morning that in Florida she could reasonably expect a divorce settlement of about 800 to 900 million dollars if she filed today. And that doesn't include child support or a higher education fund.
