If he had used SPs he might have been better off as he could have said "Hey, it was just a sexual passion thing/variety thing". By having 10+ mistresses long term he is saying he wasn't happy in his marriage. Come to think of it with 10+ mistresses how did he ever find any time to be with Elin at all?
Sure, if single he could sleep with a different girl every day if he wanted to (he wouldn't be the first) and re-brand himself as the young Hugh Hefner of the golfing world. Sponsors would still go for him...condom manufacturers, etc.
As has been said though, his wife has been busy the past years having 2 kids for him and 10+ mistresses is a sign of big time disrespect of her. Getting a bit on the side when her newborn was taking up all her time is one thing - and one g/f on the side after the birth of baby #1 I think Elin would have forgiven, but more girls every day coming forward - 10 as of today - makes Elin a laughing stock...even if she didn't privately care where he stuck his putter before, having the whole world know he cheated on her whenever he could with whomever he could would cause her to be major league annoyed.

The real disgrace and disgust here lies in the constant media attention and the lowering of so-called responsible news outlets degrading to the level of supermarket tabloids.
A high profile figure stepped out on his wife...........and? It isn't the first time and it won't be the last. Mainly, it has nothing to do with my life whatsoever and I couldn't care less.
We have abused children, corrupt financial investors that should be taken to task for robbing people's life savings, a struggling economy, governments in flux and Christmas around the corner.
Please don't say that philandering gossip is an 'escape' from all this. Those are immediate topics that deserve all our attention.
The best we can do as a responsible population is turn our back on sordid gossip with cheap sensationalism and move on to more relevant discussions.
Woods and his moral choices are not such topics.
