Lets remember..if the police come upon this violent, knife wielding lady...who is out wandering about saying she is going to kill her husband....it would be reasonable to assume the husband..perhaps scared..was out and about hiding.

Or should they assume that there is automatically no husband and let her work her way around the Area and in a different outcome, finds and stabs him.

its a no win for the Police...and certainly a NO WIN once the Monday morning quarterbacks come out.

But like Forcillo.... I will wait for the facts.

Tasing someong doesn't ment you are defending yourself. it could be defending someone who can't defend themselves. He could've tackled the old lady or shoot her won't make any difference. different people will paint it the way they see it.

They could try and diffuse a situation instead of making it worse...and how do you or the police determine that this 80 year old lady is violent? 3 cops shouldn't be so scared of an 80 year old lady with a bread knife. It wouldn't have been difficult for the cops to determine that her husband is deceased, that is if they had made an effort to diffuse that would likely have come to light. You're gonna wait for "facts"? Where do you expect to get the facts, it's already plain to see the cops are lying and covering up as per usual. The cops will do all in their power to keep the facts clear as mud.

its about the proper use of force with an elderly woman. its about whether the police lied to the press about what happened. if you are a law abiding person, then you should agree that the law is to protect the people not to enslave them.

Perhaps she was wearing a jacket she bought at a MMA fight and the police decided she might have been a MMA fighter in the "masters" category. Never can be too careful.

So first was the cop who shot a person with a knife is wrong .. now a female gets tazered because she allegedly had a knife is wrong too...

I think the best option here is if someone pulls a knife Police should be issued bigger knives like croc dundee and they should battle it out spartan style.. I think that would finally make the public happy ...

There was a time when cops carried batons. If she'd had one, any physically fit PC should have been able to knock the knife out of an 80 year-old's hand without danger to herself while leaving the suspect with only a bruise or two. And well able to defend herself from an actual attack.

'But now we have Tasers™, so Tasers™are what we use when they don't do what they're told". And if uniformed cops are about anything, they're about seeing you do as you were told.
