I was in a pub recently& the tv was on,no volume&I think it was Off the Record and Pat Burns was on as Landsberg's guest.My 1st thought was its from the archives but I think it was up to date.
I'd been wondering about Pat& couldnt find any info but ha looked good on the screen.
Does anyone know any more about how he's doing?Two bouts of cancer, but he's one tough dude.

to hear him speak though, you can tell he has burned out a little.

Pat is another one in a long string of former and current Canadiens who have contracted cancer. There has to be something about what is causing this? One theory is the air in the old Montreal Forum.

I'm not arguing, Rockslinger but I can only think of Saku Koivu&Dick Irvin,Sr.Can you tell us who are the others?I just thought of Boom Boom but I'm drawing blanks&I'm a long-time Habs fan.Kind of a grisly request,I guess, but thx

thx for the input on this unpleasant thread.I believe Pete Mahovlich had prostate cancer some yrs back but is ok now?
Beliveau&Ferguson I hadnt heard,relieved to hear Beliveau beat it and I have to bet on Fergie, he's tougher than a night in jail.

Here are some more names of former Canadiens who, unfortunately, contracted cancer. Rocket Richard, Jacque Plante, J.C. Tremblay, Doug Wickenheiser (age 37), Bill Nyrop (age 43) Bunny Laroque (age 40) and Mrs. Gainey (age 39). The young ages of some is rather disturbing.
