Turns out i am wrong........the abbretator ruled in favour of the eagles and they can DE-ACTIVATE him.


So he cant come to the practices or meetings.........but they do have to pay him i belive.


To make a long story short Terrell Owens WILL NOT PLAY FOOTBALL ANYWHERE THIS YEAR.

He will be released before March first so the eagles can avoid paying him his bonus of 7.5 million.......So this little stunt is costing him from 7.5 to 10 million what a retard.


By the way T.O is 0-3 aganist teams........He has been fired from 49ers,ravens,and now the eagles.


Keep up the good work maybe the CFL will sign him up for the Grey Cup.........

If the arbitrator does rule in TO's favour.. this will become a new negotiating toy for the players.

Throw a tantrum, get a short suspension then get cut by the team so you can write your own ticket.

If I was the owner, I would dress him and sit his ass on the bench for every game. Let TO deal with any backlash inside the clubhouse.

Just when you thought it could not get any uglier..... Essentially, if he is made a free agent, then any contract that any player has is useless...as AROD says... all you have to do is throw a tantrum and you are a free agent..

I can bet the league will have a rule in place by the start of next season to deal with this... I heard a lawyer discussing this on some sports show a few weeks ago... essentially, the argument would be that the Eagles are preventing him from earning a living... specifically that he has bonuses in his contract that can only be achieved if he plays...therefore not playing him is somehow infringing on his rights....???

this is how it works

he doesn't get paid for the 4 games he was suspended

if they put him on IR for the rest of the season, they have to pay him.

if they cut him, he has to clear waivers(in order from worst to best team) if a team gets him off waivers the new team takes over the old contract as is, and philly pays him no more.

if he clears waivers then his contract is null and void(no guarentee contracts in the NFL) and he is free to sign with any team for whatever deal he makes!

in reality the eagles could essentially end his career by paying him for this year and the next 5 of his contract and telling him to stay at home! but they won't.

as said before dallas and denver are the most likely choices, if they get him this year then both teams move into 2nd and 3rd favs for the super bowl.

if i was TO i would fire that asshole agent!!! that agent fucked my fantasy team!!!

compensation? there is no such thing in the nfl, unless its a trade. and no team will give up talent for the baggage that comes along with TO. so the nfl teams will wait for philly to cut him and then the free for all will begin.

this all started when TO fired his old agent and hired Drew during the off season, and the contract problems started because only the agent who negociated the contract gets paid, meaning for the next 5 years drew would not get paid on TO unless he got a new contract, TO's old agent was getting paid on TO's exsisting contract. which means Drew has not only screwed owns out of about 10 million he has screwed the old agent out of about 1 million and he got paid nothing to do it! fuckin agents!

The Eagles have charged the Cowboys with tampering. Jerry Jones(owner of Cowboys) made some public statements that he had an interest in TO.

The Eagles are going to make it as difficult as possible for anyone to get their fingers on him

By compensation, I meant a trade. I can see some teams just crazy and desperate enough to give up talent for TO but I can't see the Cowboys being one of the teams they want to deal with. They're having a bad enough year...they don't need to see TO end up in Dallas going to the playoffs and beyond.
