You're making connections that don't necessarily exist. A death doesn't automatically make a cop bad. Cops are sometimes tasked, as part of their job, to use lethal force. A death at the hands of a cop is often justified. When you're in the trenches with bad guys every day, bad things happen. They deal with the people and neighborhoods that you stay away from because you don't want any trouble.

Investigations and courts of law vindicated Rick Shank. So what's your beef? We're supposed to dismiss the findings of due process and investigations and instead rely on your opinion?

Considering the number of recent cases where cops have been exonerated despite bodycam footage showing their guilt and cases where the cops took no action until video showed up, it's reasonable to be suspicious of pre-cam internal investigations.

Plus, dead men don't talk.

2 dead black men in Shank's cases.

Kinda one sided: Shank and his cop buddies vs. silent stiffs.

What does "the number" of recent cases mean? Sounds like a lot. List these Toronto cases.

Yeah, if they did it and it's on video they would be convicted.

Seriously, you can't find any examples of cops F'ing up and you have to make things up? Dude. Just google it. There's so many examples it's embarrassing.

I love that you try and limit this to Toronto. But these stories are hardly new.

I can find more if you want.

In other words, you lied. All of the officers in question have faced consequences as a result of their actions.

What you posted is NORMAL and EXPECTED. I can't stress this enough. COPS HAVE TO DO THINGS THAT YOU DON'T BECAUSE THEY ENFORCE LAWS AND DEAL WITH BAD GUYS DAILY.

Sometimes they get it right; sometimes they get it wrong. They're scrutinized more than you... if you and your colleagues were scrutinized by the public, we'd see all the trash you've tried to hide while at work.

There are thousands cops in the city and hundreds of thousands of interactions. For you to paint these incidents as anything other than aberrations to the norm shows a lack of understanding.

Of course I limited your response to Toronto. It makes little sense to compare what cops do in bumfuck USA to Toronto.

SJWs have to figure out sooner or later that when you're a cop, you're going to be put in many situations that ordinary people don't find themselves in. Yes, cops kill. Cops beat down people. Sometimes it's entirely justified... and part of their DUTY to the public. If not, the body cams and courts come into play. That's what a successful justice system looks like.

Are you unable to read? They faced consequences only because outside video showed up. In every case, there was no hint of any internal investigation until the videos showed up.

The Lawyer in the first case was smart and waited until the cops had repeatedly recorded their claims that the kid assaulted them before releasing the video that showed the cop walking up to the kid, punching him, then chasing him down to beat him more.

Body cams are a great idea, both to protect cops from accusations from the public but also to protect people from cops.

That's how the justice system works, buddy. All the available evidence goes to court -> arguments are made by those with access to more information than you-> verdict is decided.

You only hear about the bad stuff on the nightly news.

Sadly it is. Justice would benefit by having cops who mentioned abuses by their peers instead of waiting to see if independent videos come out.
