What would you call it? My per diem is pretty generous...
I let my accountant handle that. But you can call it anything. Entertainer, dog walker, etc. CRA just wants their's. If you are smart you incorporate and pay yourself and get a T4. Cash gets you nowhere in this society. Cant buy a house, car, or investments with cash unless I am missing something.

Incorporating is the best but for regular escorts doing regular taxes they fall under the Entertainment & Recreation Industry, and the tax code for escorts is 812900.

You are right. CRA doesn’t really care what you list yourself as though, so long as they get paid their fair share.

See, this is why I wanted to open this up for discussion. I've learned so much from this thread and I hope many others have too. Different view points, different opinions.

Thank you to @Jenesis & @Ashlee for what you've shared so far. It is very insightful and I appreciate the time you've both taken to engage in this discussion ❤

Yes
Some great points by some fantastic SPs & thoughts from others. I've pulled back because of cost & distance.
I'm 80mins from Peterborough so GTA or Ottawa becomes day trips
But both @ashlee. & @Jenesis
Are worth the drive IMHO, as I've spent time with them both....

How does the CRA end up catching an escort who does the majority of her business in cash; rents; and has no other assets to speak of and doesn't file a T1 Return?

I understand the aspect of if you don't declare your income to the tax man you can't get a loan from the banker. I would think the only way the CRA would know is if a disgruntled person went online here:

Reporting suspected tax or benefit cheating in Canada – Overview - Canada.ca

and filed one of these.

I know the CRA can also send letters "Demanding to File" and can also do "Arbitrary Assessments" where they complete the T1 Return(s) themselves and send a bill to the person, which is treated as correct until the person files the missing returns and CRA accepts them.

I can’t say. I have never been audited( but then I have never tried my luck fucking over the tax man either. LOL.

I know an agency owner once was. Something about lifestyle not supported with reported income????? Something like that. It was long ago. But it was a huge process, big fines and stuff. That is all I really remember.

They are incorrect. I can tell you that 1000%. It is not a gift. It is considered income. Even more so if you are an agency owner.

Have a look at this. It might help.

You're exactly right about this. Unless you are a registered business, cash is useless in society, unless all you're doing is buying gas and groceries. As far as loans, mortgages and investing go, the banks won't even look at you, unless you are registered as a business and a personal business is just fine.

So I wanted to post this as an open discussion (mostly) and a poll.

So back in 2016/17 when I started this hobby the average price for a. HH GFE was about 100/120. Then it went up to 140. Then it went up to 150/160. But now, most ladies I inquire with are charging 200/HH!? For nothing more than a basic GFE experience. Most of them barely even deliver that and some are charging those rates for just a cbj and fs, not even GFE.

Now, I know there are a lot of variables that play in to this and I know that there is a level of subjectivity as well. I also know that there are always going to be guys who will pay whatever for whatever without even thinking twice. But like goddamn.

Now, I'm all for paying people for their services and experience regardless of industry. I also know that partaking in this hobby is a luxury. However, how is it realistic that the average rate is now 200/HH? I understand well-reviewed ladies charging a bit more than average. I understand agencies charging a bit more than average. I understand the elite high-class escorts charging what they charge. But for your average run of the mill GFE?

Now I know there are guys on here who live by only seeing 60, 80, 100 ladies. I have no bloody idea how. But you guys aren't the guys I'm wanting to have in this discussion. This discussion is mostly for those of us who are willing to pay the average rates or even a bit more as well as any ladies who want to chime in.

I know there's very little we can do to stop the rates from getting too high but at what point, for the average client, is it too much?
Looking at it a different way. What is it compared to some alternatives?

Lap Dances are (I think still) $20 per song or 3 minutes say. So....1/2 hour would be 30 minutes or x10. $20 x 10 = $200.

So, it'd cost you $200 for a 1/2 hour of lap dances OR $200 for a 1/2 on an Escort. I know which one I'd take.

yea they do that also.. and scam the govt for the tax cash, thats how they buy groceries.. just a tax free cash grab.. you think they reporting it LOL
occupation.. Sex worker
income.. $200k per yr
ok.. you are good to go.. we not taking tax from you
I am sure most of the full time Sp’s pay a little income tax. Like Ashlee said maybe they are dog walkers. This keeps Revenue Canada off their backs. I am sure many others are on government assistance and don’t claim any of the income from sex work. I also highly doubt that pimps hand out T4 slips at the end of the year.
One thing I can can pretty well say for sure is that no Sp claims all their income, not even close. After all, a dog walker making 200k a year would raise a few eyebrows at Revenue Canada 🇨🇦

Where does this 200k a year come from? Because escorts are making WAY less than that.

Agency girl doing 4 hhs a day, 3 weeks a month (1 week off for period), 5 days a week is making 72k a year give or take. That is on the high side for volume. No vacation or sick days etc.

Indy who has expenses can be even less. I won’t get into all the numbers here, which why I posted agency girls because it is easier to throw some average numbers.
