Here we go again. This is what I fear the most which is patients who need surgery but can’t because of the covid. Also 2nd concern is the contagion spreading again in hospitals from nurses, doctors and support workers. You would hope they learned something the last time. This is the area they need to invest most resources and money to prevent healthcare from collapsing.

Dale says hospitals in the GTA have already begun to make difficult decisions to cancel scheduled surgeries.

While cancelled procedures are often elective, the overcrowded ICU’s can also mean putting off scheduled operations that can be a matter of life or death.

“It can actually be a surgery or a procedure that’s necessary to save someones life,” says Dale. “It might be cancer related, it might be cardiac related, it actually can even be organ transplants.”

Hospital capacity has been an issue in COVID-19 hot spots, such as Peel Region, for weeks, but those pressures have also spread to other areas.

The Grand River Hospital in Waterloo Region paused elective surgeries this week after its intensive care unit reached capacity.

"Record-high Covid infections and hospitalisations have been reported in the US, with fears they will not slow in the run-up to Christmas.

The number of people in hospital passed 100,000 for the first time, a figure that has doubled since early November.

New cases rose by a record 195,695 on Wednesday, and the daily death toll of 2,733 was close to a new high.

The city of Los Angeles has reacted to an unprecedented surge there by ordering residents to stay at home.

Nationwide, infections are now closing in on 14 million, with more than 264,000 deaths, according to data from the Covid Tracking Project.

Figures have continued to soar in recent weeks, with around a million new infections reported every week in November. - equivalent to 99 every minute

So let me get this straight
500 daily is "ok"
...
Only when compared to 1800, per day we have now. Are you now pretending to care about every life after endlessly telling us we should just write off the elderly?

...

There is also a GREAT graph on this page; scroll down to Cases By OutBreak Settings
...
You should look up what their definition of an outbreak is. If one or two people get an infection from the same bar, it won't be included. Their definition is an uncontrolled spread of cases. That explains why the total number of cases listed under outbreaks is much lower than the daily case count.

As usual, the information you try to use isn't what you think it is.

I *REALLY* want someone to point me in general direction of these "overwhelmed" hospitals
...
More stupidity. Because Canadians don't want to pay more taxes, our hospitals are generally funded to operate at 85% capacity. Many major hospitals though routinely run at around 95% capacity in normal situations with them going over capacity in cases. Hospital planning has them keeping some available space for emergencies and require them to have a certain number of beds available whenever outpatient surgeries are taking place.

Covid isn't filling up our hospitals but it is filling up that couple percent that we normally need to account for normal functioning.

That's just because every time I or someone else shows you how wrong you are, you ignore it and move on to your next tinfoil talking point.

all i did was quote government documents that document the facts the the covid 19 virus was not isolated and NO isolates are available you are becoming like frankfooter who refuse to look at anything he disagrees with

denying facts won't change reality

https://www.fda.gov/media/134922/download.

Would a sane person mix a patient sample (containing various sources of genetic material and never proven to contain the alleged “COVID-19 virus” aka “SARS-COV-2”) with transfected monkey kidney cells, fetal bovine serum, antibiotics, antifungals, etc., then blame “the virus” that was never looked for or found in the patient sample for any harm to the monkey cells, then claim that the resulting concoction is “SARS-COV-2 viral isolate” and ship it off internationally for use in critical research (including vaccine and test development)?

Because that’s the fraudulent monkey business that’s being passed of as “virus isolation” by research teams around the world, including right here in Ontario.

See the screenshot below, or click here for another example from Australia:
https://www.fluoridefreepeel.ca/australian-dept-of-health-has-no-record-of-covid-19-virus-isolation/.

The narrative is such nonsense

I know a person who went into a hospital tonight for a surgery. Even better will piss off the mask wearing covidiots that they went for surgery after eating something at a dinner party. So you can literally walk in off the street and still get surgery no issues.

The hospital has *1* Covid suspected case and staff (literally) evacuated the waiting room when the "Brampton person" walked in (I am debating whether the text refers to an actual person from Brampton or is a racist term for a person who looks like they came from Brampton)

But you know; hospitals overrun

Yup, but hey, it's fake news right? Amigos and their nonsense bullshit narrative because of their selfish me knows best crap.
Here you go
MINISTER of HEALTH says no crisis either

WHERE do the mask breathers get their over run hospital conspiracies from?

Ontario hospitals are not in crisis, despite the pandemic-related pressure many are facing right now, Health Minister Christine Elliott said Wednesday.

Elliott first rejected the notion of a hospital capacity crisis in Question Period, with NDP MPP Catherine Fife suggesting Ontario hospitals are at a breaking point.

“You want to speak about who is in crisis?” Elliott said. “Have you taken a look at Alberta, where they’re doubling up patients in intensive care units? We’re not doing that in Ontario.”

Asked about her comments at the premier’s daily press conference, Elliott said that “there’s no question that many Ontario hospitals are under stress right now, particularly in the lockdown areas … but to say that they’re in crisis is not the case.”

She said the Scarborough General and William Osler hospitals are unable to do all of the tests, procedures and surgeries postponed during the pandemic’s first wave

“There’s more that we need to work on, but we’re in regular contact with the Ontario Hospital Association, we’re in contact with the hospitals that are experiencing these sorts of stresses. And what we’re really trying to do in dealing with that backlog of surgeries and procedures is take a more regional look at it,” said Elliott, suggesting that if there’s one hospital that can’t accommodate all surgeries and procedures, another hospital in the region with capacity could be utilized.

“We have built the capacity, we’ve built the numbers, we have rooms for people, we have the ventilators if people need them,” said Elliott. “We are ready for any other surges, but that’s why we’re doing the lockdowns in some areas, imposing control measures in others, so that we can try and bend that curve and try and get those numbers down. So it all has to work together, and that’s what we’re doing here in Ontario.”

MINISTER of HEALTH says no crisis either
Who ever said they are in a "crisis". As in now. The present moment. Capiche?

Yet covid is spiking & the danger remains that hospitals will have serious problems if that isn't dealt with (as it is) and curbed.

After all, just look what's happening south of the border where cases, hospitalizations & deaths have been reaching the highest level yet.

Anyone who doesn't think that can also happen in Canada is either entirely clueless or a covidiot or both.

Asked about her comments at the premier’s daily press conference, Elliott said that “there’s no question that many Ontario hospitals are under stress right now, particularly in the lockdown areas … but to say that they’re in crisis is not the case.

Odd, do yo see what I've highlighted in red from your post? In your delusional bent world should we wait until we are a complete disaster like some states in the US before corrective action is taken? Sacrifice the folks who have diabetes and other ailments so you can go along undisturbed because you're just so special.
