As an aside, if you like 70's one-hit wonders, get the 25 CD set (300 songs in total) Super Hits of the '70s - Have A Nice Day Almost enough to cause you to run screaming into the night if you're old enough to remember this stuff. <g> I've got all 25 CDs. No musical taste, but all 25 CDs.

Your forgot " Boom Boom Boom...lets go back to my room"

That would be by Paul Lekakis.

Speaking of one hit wonders by guys named Paul, how about 19 by Paul Hardcastle. Great tunes both of them. Goob Im copying that list of yours and going MP3 hunting.

How about Eyes of a Stranger by Payolas.

Boston is WAAAAYYY off. More Than a Feeling, Peace of Mind, Foreplay/Long Time, Rock&Roll Band, Smokin' were all hits. This album was the Biggest Selling Debut Album of all time for years. It is still in the top 50 Highest Selling Albums of all time.

2nd album was "Dont Look Back" (another big hit), with "Party" as the 2nd hit.

Damn, don't make me do this again.

Some that come to mind....

More than a feeling - Boston...

Like them or not, Boston was much bigger than this! Some of their other number one songs:

Don't Look Back
Amanda

In order to fit the category as a one hit wonder, the group must not be able to attain success with any other songs. The mere fact that the entire first Boston album went triple platinum is the proof. Don't Look Back and Third Stage also sold double platinum. As of late the band hasn't done much. Just a little musical history....

mm...Paul Hardcastle is still producing and an active Jazz producer/artist , periodically releasing material in both Europe and Japan.

That was a great song though. Ni Ni Ni Ni Nineteen.

No offence TJ & other Boston fans,

But if you compare that single to any other single that they had, it's no comparison. Maybe not a "one hit wonder" but not waaaaaay off either.

Tell you the truth I never even heard of the other songs you mentioned.

But I do respect your opinion.

How about Lulu, To Sir With Love. I don't recall any others from her. Though I could have missed easily.

Rev, Lu Lu's 'Nelly The Elephant ' was pretty popular, but in essence I think you are right.

Maybe we should leave it up to Daddyio, the defrauder, who seems to be doing a pretty good job ...

btw 'Cum on feel the noise' was originally a hit song in Britain by Slade.

Off the top of my head, I think 'The Emperors New Clothes' by Sinead was a pretty big hit.

The Last Song - Edward Bear
Whole Lotta Love - Led Zeppelin (think it's their only top - 40 hit)
Edward Bear had one called 'Down in Mexico' that I recall. I'm not sure how it charted. LZ had D'yer Maker that was played extensively on the radio when it came out. It must have made top 40.
