Wow, 45 days. That's 30 days, when they release him early for good behavior. That means ten weekends where he reports on Friday Night, is released on Saturday Morning, and is given 'credit' for three days served.

A Black teenager in Texas would get eight years for the same offense, if he was lucky to get a sentencing Judge who was soft on crime.

He's not jailed yet... he is out on bail.
He will appeal and probably win.

AT LEAST he has been suspended WITHOUT pay... I almost spit out my dinner when I heard that.

He was found guilty and sentenced, why would anyone expect him to be paid while appealing his sentence?

it looks like the TPA threw a non-white muslim cop under the bus
Uhm, you know it was the judge who did the sentencing dont you?? Not the TPA.

Also there was a white Toronto cop sentenced to jail for punching some kid at Caribana 5 or 6 years ago

Because he is a member of the TPS?
You really don't like authority. As has been been pointed out many times, it's not unique to the police services for someone to be put on paid suspension while under investigation. After all they haven't been found guilty yet. Now that he's been found guilty and sentenced, it's another story. Can you come up with another case where a TPS officer was charged found guilty and sentenced and still on the payroll? I doubt it.

Was this trail by jury or judge?

How much faith do you have in your prognostications. If he isn't successful on his appeal, what will you out on the table?

I expect the tories will put a stop to this just like they did with senators suspected of crimes

"LOL- good gravy, man- you really are the limit

Not really. It just so easy to say stuff and not stand behind it. You slag the cops, the courts, and the judges, with little or nothing to behind it except your distaste for authority, yet won't put anything on the table.

Others might say, all mouth and no substance.

I don't really think this comment was meant to be taken anywhere close to seriously.
