That time chart of the all time olympics medals is pretty slick.

Risking everything for gold. Not even a metaphor anymore, is it?

Too much pressure is being put on Andre de Grasse. The competition is even more intense than it was in 2016, de Grasse will be lucky to get a medal.

In other news, Damian Warner has been getting better and better and he hasn't been getting any recognition for it.

A Canadian as world's greatest athlete, how cool would that be.

Problem with the sprint competitions like 100 and 200 metres is that a flying start is what can make the difference. Also, new talent continuously appears more frequently than other events like long distance running. It requires far more stamina building in Marathons, as well as1.5K, 5K, Steeplechase or 10K events. Just an opinion.

I celebrated the Euro too much to set up what I wanted to watch in the Olympics. Canada vs Italy in Men's Volleyball would have been tops on my list. Italy takes volleyball seriously, they have their own professional league, of which the best Canadian players compete in. The game was held on Monday with Italy winning a thrilling five set match.

One sport that our networks do not give enough of coverage is Field Hockey. Watched Canada Men's play Belgium and it really looks like an interesting competition, although Canada were really ripped apart by 9-1. Hopefully there will be more coverage of the playoffs although Canada looks very likely to finish at the bottom of their group and are eliminated.

Anyone know how to watch these other sports that do not get covered by our local networks like CBC, TSN, Sportsnet, or even NBC? Any online sources?

I think Canadians prefer watching real hockey (i.e. ice hockey). LOL!
I am referring to these Summer Olympics. Since when is Ice Hockey a Summer Olympics Sport? LOL!!

The actual original Hockey was Field Hockey. That is why it is referred to as Hockey globally, except here in North America where it is called Field Hockey. Ice Hockey transcended from this sport. I have not played Field Hockey but at these Olympics I find it quite an interesting sport. I know that in the past Olympics even in Canada it was given more coverage. Do you know of any online sites offering full coverage of all the olympic sports?
