Tory is a conservative by Canadian standards, not extreme enough for the righties of Alberta, Tory would be a Democrat in the US. I would take Tory over PeePee as federal Conservative leader but he's not extreme enough for Alberta.

Again I'm going to say this you are wrong. Under Tory taxes were raised at higher than the rate of inflation.
So because he WAS the leader of the PC Party in Ontario 15 yeas ago, that means he was a Conservative mayor. That's like saying Jean Charest is a Conservative because he was a member of the Mulroney government in the 80's and early 90's. It doesn't wash.
As Mayor of Toronto Tory did not govern as a conservative. No where close.

First of all, I like John Tory, if I lived in Toronto, I would’ve voted for him.
Jean Charest is a Conservative, he recently ran to be leader of the CONSERVATIVE party of Canada.
Is John Tory a far right conservative, no, he is slightly centre right, but that still makes him right wing. He’s not left-wing, he’s a moderate conservative, apparently some people who are far right conservatives don’t consider that to be right wing, but it is.
